Hold the passive ring in your left hand. b. Hold the battery ring in your right hand. (3) Orient the Revolights so that the air valve is in between two bracket pairs. Air valve in between 2 bracket pairs (4) a. Align the first bracket pair around a single spoke and slide it together. b. Rotate the wheel and repeat step a for other three positions. Place the wheel on an object that holds the wheel flat and steady (a roll of tape or a bow! works great). (6) a. Guide the cable behind the nearest spoke. b. Install the remaing three spoke adapters following steps 7-9 at the other ring brackets. Using your fingers, pull spoke adapter up to bracket pair. TIP: Move only the spoke adapter, try to not pull the ring @) a. Use your finger to hold the spoke adapter. b. Tighten the screw until it is barely tight, then loosen it 1-2 turns. c. Repeat for the remaining three spoke adapters. FIRST SHORT SCREW SECOND SHORT SCREW Repeat a-c with second screw ©) a. Install all four long screws into the spoke adapters, inserting them into the non-nut side of the adapter. b. Tighten the screw and then loosen it 1-2 turns. (13) a. Spin the wheel to check for the ring alignment. b. The rings should not wobble as it spins. NOTE: Don't worry about left/right alignment at this point. INCORRECT CORRECT Revolights are not centered on wheel. Revolights are centered on wheel If the rings wobble during alignment check, adjust the rings as needed by moving opposite brackets. INCORRECT: NOT CENTERED (7) Tighten all eight short screws once aligned. PART 2 Back Wheel Installation (@ a. Remove the back wheel from the bike. b. The battery ring goes on the rider's left (no cassette) side, the passive ring goes on the right (cassette) side. Cassette right side Rinse and repeat. Repeat steps 3 through 17 for back wheel. Insert the battery into the mount, button first. a Gently press the battery in, until you hear an audible click. b. a. To remove the battery, slide the lever. b. The battery will release from the battery mount. 2) Put the wheels back on the bike and turn the Revolights on. If the bike is upside-down, the lights will face inward. Note that the view represents the rider's left (non-drive) side of the bicycle. LEFT SIDE Front Fork” Chain Stay Bracket Insert two zip ties into the magnet mount through the outer slots. @s) a. Wipe the fork clean. b. Attach the magnet mount on the non-drive (rider's left) side. c. Tighten and trim the zip ties. Attach the magnet mount on the non-drive (rider's left) side with zip ties on the underside of the chainstay bracket b. Tighten and trim the zip ties. (Came Chain Stay Bracket IMPORTANT: Magnet head positioned near outer edge of Revolight (27) With bike upright, spin the front wheel forward. It should form a white arc. If this does not happen, adjust the front magnet alignment per Step 25 & 28. Spin the back wheel using your pedals. It should form a red arc. If this doesn't happen, adjust your rear magnet alignment per Step 26 & 28. Use the magnet extensions to achieve a maximum distance of 1/8" (3mm) between magnet and Revolights. The magnet extensions are not necessary on bicycles with narrow forks or chainstays. WIDE FORKS: NARROW FORKS: Add magnet extensions to magnet mount. Remove magnet extensions from magnet mount, Revolights Tire TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS If Revolights are rubbing on the forks or chainstay: Adjust your Revolights' lateral (left/right) alignment (per step 16) If only the battery ring side turns on: Verify the battery cable connection (per step 6). If neither side turns on: Verity the battery is installed correctly per step 21. Verify the batteries are charged. If Revolights do not create arcs while in motion: Most likely your Revolights are not detecting the magnet. Adjust your magnet mount alignment per step 25 or 26. If the Revolights rings rub against brake pads: Depending on your setup, you may have to rotate your brake pads. Insert the battery into docking station Insert the battery with the button side first into the battery docking station. 2. Snap the battery in place Push the battery into the dock until you hear an audible click CHARGING YOUR BATTERIES ly] S 3. Plug in the USB cable § Connect USB to Micro-USB charging SS cable into your computer's USB port to begin charging. The battery button will glow orange during charging. When fully charged, the battery button will NOT glow. Release Lever 4. Remove the battery To remove the battery from the battery dock, push in the release lever. Battery will pop out. ONGOING MAINTENANCE Check and tighten the screws regularly. SECURITY The Revolights bike lighting system was designed to deter theft. (*Revolights") warrants to the original owner this Revolights bike lighting system product (the "Product") against any defects in materials and workmanship and shall provide warranty services and/or replacements during the periods stipulated below, beginning from the date of first purchase to the original owner. If the product is not registered, proof of purchase (such as a copy of the original invoice) is required. For original owners without a valid invoice and users that have not purchased the product from an authorized reseller, the warranty begins from the date the product was shipped from Revolights’ warehouse + The Revolights bike lighting system — one (1) year parts and labor; and + Any consumables (e.g. batteries, magnets, etc) included in the original Product — ninety (90) days free replacement In addition to the warranty exclusions noted below, this worranty does not apply to normal wear and tear resulting from product use and exposure to the elements, except to the extent that the Product's intended performance is effected thereby. Replacement or repair of any defective part or Product will not extend the applicable warranty period. In order for this limited warranty to be valid, proof of purchase is required. Further, this warranty does not apply to, and Revolights shall not be liable for: (i) Product resulting from accidental damage (e.g., bicycle accident), negligence or misuse (i) any defect in, or failure of, the electrical supply to the Product; (ii) any defect of, or caused by, parts not supplied by Revolights; (iv) normal wear and tear resulting from product use and exposure to the elements; (v) modification, adjustment, repair, disassembly or maintenance performed by any party other than Revolights or its approved subcontrac- tors and retailers; or (vi) due to any other cause which does not result from a defect in materials and workmanship. WARRANTY DISCLAIMERS This written warranty is the only warranty made with respect to the product. Repair, replacement or other ‘appropriate adjustment as provided under this warranty shall be the sole liability of revolights, and the exclusive remedy avoilable to the original purchaser, with respect to the product.
