Advances in Flexwell Development: Ali Shahamiri and Reza Heidari

Advances in FlexWell Development discusses new models for co-injection and thermal wellbores. For co-injection, a unified model is presented that uses fewer inputs and avoids assumptions by directly calculating fluid properties. For thermal wellbores, new features include a segmented heater cable model that increases near-wellbore mobility, and models with temperature-dependent or sectional wall properties.

20
Unified Co-Injection Model
Highlights
Advantages of the New Unified Model
 Less input data required.
 Straightforward preprocessing for co-injection problems.
 No need to use WINPROP to identify the phase envelope for any given
composition.
 Can be used instead of existing co-injection keywords (scenarios) as well as
gas-oil mixtures.
 No simplifying assumptions for the thermodynamic calculations of injection fluid.
 Recommended for compositions with large fraction of oil components and for -
super-heated fluid injection.
