Escuela de Sophia of Caloocan, Inc.: LEARNING PLAN IN PROGRAMMING - Computer System Servicing 2nd Quarter

This document provides a learning plan for a 2nd quarter topic on computer network concepts. It includes learning competencies, targets, and expected skills around defining networks, explaining types of networks, and appreciating their importance. The lesson plan covers introducing the topic, a concept map, and activities across synchronous and asynchronous days. Assessment includes analyzing a network diagram to identify the largest and smallest network types, what type is used in a building, and how different network types vary and pass data. The goal is for learners to become tolerant, appreciative of differences, productive community members, and active contributors through community service.

LEARNING PLAN IN PROGRAMMING – Computer System Servicing

2nd Quarter

WEEK 1
(DATE: Oct. 26-30, 2020)
TOPIC: Computer Network Concepts

LEARNING COMPETENCIES:

 Plan cable routes in accordance with network design and actual installation site.

LEARNING TARGETS:

I can define network

I can explain and classify the different types
 I can appreciate the importance of the computer network in sending and receiving files from one
computer to another.
EXPECTED SKILLS:

 Define network
 Explain and classify the different types
 Eppreciate the importance of the computer network in sending and receiving files from one
computer to another.

LESSON PROPER
Introduction of the Lesson:

Current world scenario is ever-changing. Data Communication and the network have changed the way
business and other daily affairs works. Now, they highly rely on computer networks and internetwork. Just like
them, we are using the computer network in communicating with our friends and relatives through chat (via
messenger) and email, video-call or even online meetings. Also, we can share resources such as documents,
files, music, movies and applications using a computer network. Through the power of the internet, we can
communicate and collaborate with other people across the globe.

Concept Map:
This is the conceptual framework off the lesson that we will discuss in this lesson.
