Ai in SCM
Ai in SCM
COURSE OVERVIEW
Organizations are increasingly digitizing their supply chains to differentiate and drive revenue
growth. The key implication of this change is that the supply chains are generating massive
amounts of data. Artificial Intelligence is helping organizations analyze this data, gain a better
understanding of the variables in the supply chain and helping them anticipate future scenarios.
Thus, the use of AI in supply chains is helping businesses innovate rapidly by reducing the time
to market and evolve by establishing an agile supply chain capable of foreseeing and dealing
with uncertainties.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
AI is not just one technology, but many—each with its own application types, stage of
development, strengths, weaknesses and limitations. The course aims at explaining the
foundations and applications of Artificial Intelligence in different stages of Supply Chain
Management(SCM). The course also intends to introduce the concepts of Machine Learning and
Deep Learning to the application areas to SCM.
LEARNING GOALS
This course would help to acclimatize the students with
The fundamentals of Artificial intelligence and its current use in the various industrial
applications (CO1)
The importance and application of Artificial Intelligence in Supply Chain Management
Industry and the current practices of the industry.(CO2)
To understand machine learning and deep learning as a process to detect patterns, learn
to make predictions and make recommendations by finding hidden insights in data.
(CO3)
To understand AI as mechanism track and predict possible supply chain disruptions based
on inputs and correlations across multiple data sources(CO4)
