Park Nicollet Clinic and Specialty Center

955 Upland Ln N.
Maple Grove, MN 55369

Dear Gina Hoaglund:

I am writing to apply for your Physical Therapist position, as found via Indeed.com. I earned my
Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology in 2017 and will receive my Doctor of Physical Therapy from
the University of North Dakota in May of 2021. Having gained knowledge and experience working with
patients in a variety of settings, I have developed the skills to help Park Nicollet Physical Therapy address
the needs of your patients and help them improve their well-being.

I have experience working in both the outpatient ortho setting as well as the acute care setting. As a result
of this experience I understand the needs of patients in those environments. The knowledge I have gained
has been through the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of North Dakota as well as
through clinical experiences. As a student and through clinical rotations, I improved my skills of listening
to patients and communicating with them as well as establishing rapport and trust. Patients were able to
see significant improvement in their health with the treatment provided including exercise progression,
functional activities, and manual therapy. I had the opportunity to volunteer during my clinical experience
at Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater, MN to help teach a class of high school students about what physical
therapists do and how they can impact people’s lives. Working as a team was incorporated into my
clinical experiences, managing technicians as well as working with physical therapy assistants.

Outside of my clinical experiences, my coursework has provided a strong base of knowledge to be

applied in my practice. It has encouraged me to look at the bigger picture as well as using technical
knowledge to provide the best treatment for my patients and having the ability to educate them about their
bodies. I had intended to be involved in research involving the effects of physical therapy with oncology
patients and their balance, however due to the unforeseen circumstances that research was terminated.
Instead, I have learned how to effectively communicate through a distance and have learned how to adapt
to those unforeseen circumstances. I have maintained leadership roles in different areas of work and will
apply those experiences and skills to benefit your clinic and your patients.

The experience and knowledge that I have obtained strongly correlate with what your position requires as
well as our values of excellence, compassion, integrity and partnership. Please feel free to contact me at
(952)-303-1733 or at [email protected] to schedule an interview at your earliest convenience. I
look forward to discussing your Physical Therapist position further.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Megan Siebert
