NETFLIX HELPS YOU FIND A TITLE FOR EVERY AGE ON WORLD ANIMATION DAY

In honor of International Animation Day, we wanted to share some of the best in class animated
films and series on Netflix from all around the world. We believe deeply in the craft of
animation and work with creators from all parts of the world to tell stories for different
audiences. Whether it's heartwarming family films like Klaus, or a hilarious adult animated
series like BoJack Horseman, or an epic anime series like Japan Sinks: 2020, we aim to tell
animated stories that our members will love.

Also, be sure to check out our newest animated film Over the Moon, from Oscar® winner
director Glen Keane, which premiered on Friday, 23 October.

For the littlest ones:


● Go! Go! Cory Carson: The Chrissy
The Carson kids win a talent show with a dance that Cory created. But, when "The
Chrissy" catches on, his sister gets all of the attention!
● Ask the Storybots
Based on the award-winning educational apps, the StoryBots are curious little
creatures who live in the world beneath our screens and go on fun adventures to help
answer kids' questions.
● Mighty Little Bheem
Mighty Little Bheem is an animated preschool series in production in India from
Director Rajiv Chilaka (Chhota Bheem). Mighty Little Bheem will be the first preschool
series of the popular Bheem franchise. It is a non-verbal slapstick adventure comedy in
which its ultra strong, brave and intelligent hero, Mighty Little Bheem travels through
his hometown on crazy adventures, often in search of ladoos (his favorite treat).
● PJ Masks*
Three 6-year-old kids who live normal lives during the day become superheroes at
night, fighting crime as a team known as PJ Masks.
● Starbeam
When colorful villains come out to play, 8-year-old Zoey has the power to transform
into StarBeam, a kid-sized superhero. She saves the day, every day!
● Cocomelon*
Learn letters, numbers, animal sounds and more with J.J. in this musical series that
brings fun times with nursery rhymes for the whole family!

For the kids:


● Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous
Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous follows a group of six teenagers chosen for a once-
in-a-lifetime experience at a new adventure camp on the opposite side of Isla Nublar.
But when dinosaurs wreak havoc across the island, the campers are stranded. Unable
to reach the outside world, they’ll need to go from strangers to friends to family if
they’re going to survive.
● The Last Kids on Earth
Based on the New York Times bestselling book series, The Last Kids on Earth follows
13-year-old Jack Sullivan and a band of suburban middle schoolers who live in a
decked-out tree house, play video games, gorge themselves on candy, and battle
zombies in the aftermath of the monster apocalypse. It’s a hilarious adventure filled
with wisecracking kids, crazy gadgets, a lifetime supply of zombies and giant-sized
monsters.
● Green Eggs & Ham
Based on the beloved book by Dr. Seuss, the upcoming animated series follows
opposites “Guy” and “Sam” as they venture out on a road trip to save an endangered
animal from a far off zoo. Along the way they learn to try new things like hope,
friendship, and a certain delectable dish.
● The Magic School Bus
Ms. Frizzle's sister -- voiced by Kate McKinnon -- takes her class on a slew of wild
science adventures in this update of the beloved animated show.
● Spirit Riding Free
Inspired by the Oscar nominated film Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, Spirit Riding Free
follows the heartfelt journey of a wild mustang who could not be tamed. A whole new
generation will experience all the daring adventures when Spirit meets a girl named
Lucky whose courage matches his own. Together they push limits, harness the power
of friendship and discover what it means to be free. With their best friends by their side,
they explore a world filled with endless rides, magnificent horses and never-ending
fun.
● Fast & Furious Spy Racers
In this new animated series, teenager Tony Toretto follows in the footsteps of his
cousin Dom when he and his friends are recruited by a government agency to infiltrate
an elite racing league serving as a front for a nefarious crime organization bent on
world domination.
● The Little Prince (Film)
From director Mark Osborne, THE LITTLE PRINCE is a feature length animated film
inspired by the French novella Le Petit Prince, first published in 1943 by poet, author
and aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. In Osborne's film, this fable of friendship, love,
loss and loneliness is brought to the screen focusing on a young girl we come to know
as "The Little Girl," who is being prepared by her mother for the very grown-up world in
which they live. As the little girl adjusts to a new home, school and surroundings, her
world is suddenly interrupted by an eccentric, kind-hearted neighbor we come to know
as "The Aviator."

● Over the Moon (Film)
Fueled with determination and a passion for science, a bright young girl builds a rocket
ship to the moon to prove the existence of a legendary Moon Goddess. There she ends
up on an unexpected quest, and discovers a whimsical land of fantastical creatures.
Directed by animation legend Glen Keane, and produced by Gennie Rim and Peilin
Chou, Over the Moon is an exhilarating musical adventure about moving forward,
embracing the unexpected, and the power of imagination.
● Klaus (Film)
A holiday comedy set in a fictional island village, Klaus hinges on a generations-old
feud between two families/factions. With a mix of generosity, compassion and
teamwork, the movie unravels how a simple act of kindness always sparks another and
marks the beginning of a sleigh full of holiday traditions.
● The Willoughbys (Film)
This animated film follows the Willoughbys, four old-fashioned siblings who are
neglected by their parents, send them off on a “dangerous vacation” and then take one
of their own. Accompanied by their new Nanny, they venture out into the modern world
for some much needed action and adventure and discover the true meaning of family.
● Carmen Sandiego: To Steal or not to Steal (Interactive Special)
An interactive mission in which children can help Carmen Sandiego to find the best
strategies when she is obliged to carry out V.I.L.E. 's plans in order to rescue Zack and
Ivy. Surprise! Your child can make decisions in the story while learning that stealing is
wrong.

For Adults (When the kids are asleep):


● BoJack Horseman
BoJack Horseman was created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg. The series is executive
produced by Raphael Bob-Waksberg, Steven A. Cohen and Noel Bright. Meet the
most beloved sitcom horse of the '90s, 20 years later. He's a curmudgeon with a heart
of...not quite gold...but something like gold. Copper?
● Big Mouth
Big Mouth is a 10-episode, half-hour edgy adult animated comedy from real-life best
friends Nick Kroll (Kroll Show, The League) and Andrew Goldberg (Family Guy) about
the glorious nightmare that is teenaged puberty. Comedian John Mulaney (John
Mulaney: The Comeback Kid, Saturday Night Live) lends his voice to the character of
Andrew, while Kroll (who serves as co-creator, executive producer) voices many
including best friend Nick. Maya Rudolph (Maya & Marty, Bridesmaids), Jason
Mantzoukas (The League, Lady Dynamite), Jordan Peele (Keanu, Key and Peele) are
among those who lend their voice to the series.
● Disenchantment
In Disenchantment, viewers will be whisked away to the crumbling medieval kingdom
of Dreamland, where they will follow the misadventures of hard-drinking young
princess Bean, her feisty elf companion Elfo, and her personal demon Luci. Along the
way, the oddball trio will encounter ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses, and
lots of human fools. The series will feature the voice talents of Abbi Jacobson (“Bean”),
Eric Andre (“Luci”), and Nat Faxon (“Elfo”) along with John DiMaggio, Billy West,
Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille, David Herman, Matt Berry, Jeny Batten, Rich
Fulcher, Noel Fielding, and Lucy Montgomery.
● Midnight Gospel
The Midnight Gospel is the story of Clancy, a spacecaster with a malfunctioning
multiverse simulator who leaves the comfort of his extra-dimensional home on the
Chromatic Ribbon to interview beings living in other worlds. Created by Pendleton
Ward (Adventure Time) and Duncan Trussell (Duncan Trussell Family Hour podcast),
and animated by Titmouse.
● F is for Family
From comedian Bill Burr and Emmy award-winner Michael Price, F is for Family
transports viewers back to the 1970s, a time when political correctness, helicopter
parenting and indoor smoking bans weren’t part of anyone’s vocabulary, let alone the
norm. Featuring the voices of Burr, Laura Dern, Justin Long, Sam Rockwell and more.
● I Lost My Body
In a Parisian laboratory, a severed hand escapes its unhappy fate and sets out to
reconnect with its body in this Cannes Critics’ Week selection. During a hair-raising
escapade across the city, the extremity fends off pigeons and rats alike to reunite with
pizza boy Naoufel. Its memories of Naoufel and his love for librarian Gabrielle may
provide answers about what caused the hand's separation, and a poetic backdrop for a
possible reunion between the three.

● Japan Sinks: 2020
Japan Sinks: 2020 uniquely presents stories about current ordinary families in Japan
-- those who are struggling to survive their lives in such a catastrophic world, and
stand up for their hopes. One day a major earthquake suddenly strikes Japan and
changes the way we live our lives. The family of four begins a desperate escape from
Tokyo, but the Japanese archipelago gradually begins to creak and inexorably stands
in their way
● The Seven Deadly Sins
When a kingdom is taken over by tyrants, the deposed princess begins a quest to find a
disbanded group of evil knights to help take back her realm
● Aggretsuko
Aggretsuko, from global lifestyle brand Sanrio, has become a worldwide hit since her
debut on Netflix as an original short animation series in 2018. Frustrated with her
thankless office job, the 25-year-old red panda copes with her daily struggles by
belting out heavy metal karaoke after work. After overcoming lots of challenges in the
previous seasons, Retsuko encounters an indie girl group “OTM Girls” and the group’s
manager “Hyodo.” How will Retsuko deal with the new set of challenges? The
relationship between Retsuko and Haida is also something you cannot miss!
● Dino Girl Gauko
In this Netflix original animated kids comedy series set in Japan, Naoko Watanabe is a
typical tween ... except that she possesses a strange gift and curse: when her anger
exceeds a maximum level, she turns into Gauko, the fire-breathing dinosaur girl!
● Carole and Tuesday
Part-timer Carole meets rich girl Tuesday, and each realizes they've found the musical
partner they need. Together, they just might make it.
● A Whisker Away (Film)
Miyo Sasaki, nicknamed "Muge" meaning "infinitely mysterious," has a bright
personality and is full of energy at school and at home. She is also secretly in love with
her classmate Kento Hinode. Miyo tries repeatedly to get Kento's attention, but he
takes no notice of her. She realizes that the only way to get close to him is to transform
into a cat, but at some point, the boundary between herself and the cat becomes
ambiguous, and she is forced to give up her life as a human
● Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back - Evolution (Film)
After accepting an invitation from a mysterious trainer, Ash, Misty and Brock meet
Mewtwo, an artificially created Pokémon who wants to do battle.
