MY ENGLISH STUDY

Hello everyone, my name is Hanh. I’m 10 years old and now I am studying in grade 5 Chu Van An school.
Today, I will tell you about my English study.

1. How often do you learn English at school/ at home?

At school, I have English lessons every Monday and Thursday. At home, I learn English 1-2 hours
everyday and I try to practice all 4 English skills

2. How do you practice reading/ listening/ speaking/ writing?

I practice reading English by reading English books. There are many interesting English fairy tales, short
stories such as the Snow White and seven Dwarfs, Alladin and the Magic Lamp, … I can learn many
lessons from these stories.

To improve listening skill, I often listen to English songs, or videos on youtube or TV. The video may be
about my favourite topics like animals, food and drinks,… I always feel excited when watching them and
so English becomes more exciting to learn.

Writing and speaking are very difficult skills, so I must spend a lot of time practicing them. I join a forum
in a foreign website and I met some foreign friends there. Every day, I keep chatting with them or
sending emails to them about all common things we share.

3. Do you like learning English? Why (not)?

I like English and I think English is an important subject because English is an international language
(ngôn ngữ quốc tế/toàn cầu). Everyone all over the world speaks English, all documents are in English. It
can help me a lot in my every day life. When I am good at English, I can go anywhere in the world, talk
with anyone and do anything. That’s why I am trying hard learning English everyday.
