What Is Interaction in Human Computer Interaction

Human-computer interaction (HCI) is a field that studies the interaction between humans and computers. It aims to improve usability and the design of interfaces. HCI is concerned with how easily humans can make use of technology and ensuring technology is developed for successful human interaction. It involves stakeholders across many disciplines including customers, users, designers, and developers. The goal is to understand how people interact with computers and digital technologies to continue enhancing the user experience.

What is interaction in human computer interaction?

Human-computer interaction (HCI) is a multidisciplinary field of study focusing on the

design of computer technology and, in particular, the interaction between humans (the users)
and computers. While initially concerned with computers, HCI has since expanded to cover
almost all forms of information technology design.

Who is involved in human computer interaction?

It can be critical to the many stakeholders in a design process: customers, users,
service providers, and marketers, as well as designers who want to build upon the
system and the ideas it embodies. Design rationale can contribute to theory
development in HCI in three ways.

What is the purpose of human computer interaction?

Human–computer interaction studies the ways in which humans make—or do not make
—use of computational artifacts, systems and infrastructures. Much of the research in
the field seeks to improve human–computer interaction by improving the usability of
computer interfaces.

The electronic digital computer is only about half a century old. Despite this
fact, it has already had an enormous impact on people's lives, and the
technology is still in a phase of rapid development.

What is the major concern of HCI?

Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) is the study of how people interact with computers
and to what extent computers are or are not developed for successful interaction with
human beings. HCI concerns the design, evaluation and implementation of interactive
usable user interfaces.
