Description: The LAC session will be a live out three two –hour session which is schedule on
January 17,2020 at 2:50-5:00 PM , January 17,2020 at 2:50-5:00 PM and January
17,2020 at 2:50-5:00 PM.

Rationale:

With the increased diversity of students’ needs and behavior, teachers are challenged, in
the 21st century, to constantly engage in collaborative sessions to enhance their understanding
and knowledge of the curriculum and classroom practices. These urged teachers to look into the
two (2) factors which greatly influence the students’ success in the field of learning- instruction
and classroom set-up.
Thus, the Yumbing National High School is pressed to answer the call by conducting a
two half-day sessions in pursuit of improving the teachers’ understanding on (a) Managing
Classroom Structure, (b) Strategies for Psychomotor Skill Learning and (c) Differentiated
Instruction to Address Learners’ needs, gender, strengths, interests, and experiences.
YNHS aims that through these activities teachers will be abreast of current teaching
strategies; especially on psychomotor and diversified instruction, and classroom structuring.
This, in turn, would better equip educators with an understanding of the varied needs and
interests of the learners as well as how instruction and their physical environment impacts their
academic performance- eventually shaping within learners the 21st-century skills.
Also, participants will be grouped into three (3) clusters: A, B, and C to ensure effective
instruction of the conceptualized LAC session.

Objectives:
The LAC Session aims to achieve the following :

1. To enhance teaching strategies to develop critical and creative thinking as well


as other higher-order thinking skills
2. To develop teachers’ skills in applying differentiated instruction to
address learner’s gender ,needs ,strengths ,interests and experiences
3. To enhance physical learning environment conducive to teaching
learning process.
