How Do You Change the GIMP Interface Back to the Old Style?
(Classic GIMP Interface)
To begin, open GIMP into the main window, click Edit, then select Preferences from the list of options.
Next scroll down and select Theme, which can be found underneath the Interface heading. For the final step choose
System, which will change GIMP back to the original color scheme.
Alternatively, you can use any of the other theme options available, if one of them peaks your interest. Once you have
chosen, click Ok and your selection will take effect.
How Do You Change the GIMP Toolbar Icons Back to the Old
Style? (Classic GIMP Icons & Icon Layout)
Again open GIMP into the main window, click Edit, then select Preferences from the list of options. Next scroll down
and select Icon Theme, which can be found underneath the Interface heading. Now for the final step choose Legacy
to change the GIMP toolbar and icons back to the original color scheme and layout.
Alternatively, you can use any of the other icon theme options available, if one of them peaks your interest. Once you
have chosen, click Ok and your selection will take effect.
Although change is often hard to get used to, it’s always good to embrace it whenever possible. A little hardship to start
