The nurse checks the patient's vital signs which are normal. The patient asks the nurse to explain the immune system and its relationship to type 1 diabetes since the patient has a history of type 1 diabetes. The nurse explains that the immune system protects the body from infection, and that in type 1 diabetes, the immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys the pancreatic beta cells that produce insulin. This is why people with type 1 diabetes require insulin injections. The patient expresses understanding of the immune system and its role in his illness.

The conversation describes the body's immune system to the patient
Nurse: Good morning
Patient: Good morning too nurse Nurse: Introduce me the yola nurse who this morning is on duty in the rose room. is this true Mr. Nugroho Patient: Yes, it's true that my nurse is Nugroho Nurse: How are you this morning, did you sleep well last night? Patient: Alhamdulillah, the nurse was a little bit bad compared to yesterday, the nurse was good Nurse: Fine. This morning I will check your vital signs starting from blood pressure, body temperature, pulse and respiration. Patient: Fine nurse, please. Nurse: Alhamdulillah the vital signs examination this morning is all normal, sir. Patient: Alhamdulillah I am very happy. I want to get well soon and go home Nurse: Hopefully get well soon, sir. oh yes, do you have anything to ask or confirm with me. before I take medicine for you? Patient: Aamiin thank you nurse. oh yes I want to ask because I myself don't understand nurses. I have a history of diabetes mellitus type 1, I had an explanation at that time with a doctor. he said diabetes mellitus type 1 is still related to the body's immune system. what is the body's immune system a nurse? Nurse: Okey. I will give an understanding of the immune system, yes sir. Patient: Okey nurse Nurse: Immune system is the human defense system as protection against infection from foreign bodies or attack by organisms such as viruses, bacteria, protozoa and parasites. The immune system is like a shield in the father's body to protect you from various diseases. So if the shield is weak, the protection in this father's body is susceptible to disease. What is meant by type 1 diabetes mellitus is still related to the immune system because the cause of type 1 diabetes is the inability of the pancreas to produce enough insulin, so that glucose in the blood cannot enter the cells. Disorders of the pancreas are thought to be due to an autoimmune process, which is when a person's immune system attacks healthy body cells. In type 1 diabetes, the immune system attacks and destroys the beta cells in the pancreas, so they can't produce enough insulin. Several things can cause damage to pancreatic beta cells, including viral infections. Patient: Oh I see. nurse, finally I understand what the immune system is and its relationship with my illness. Nurse: yes so that our immune system remains strong. We must always adopt a healthy lifestyle, sir. Patient: Okey fine nurse. Nurse: okay, do you have more questions, sir? Patient: no nurse, that's all. Nurse: Okay, I'll come back later in the afternoon according to your schedule for taking medicine. If anyone needs help, push the bell or just call me sir at the nurse station. Patient: okey fine nurse. Nurse: fine, excuse me. have a good rest and get well soon, sir. Patient: Okey, Thank you nurse.
