Department of Education Mission, Vision, and Core Values Statement

The Department of Education envisions that all Filipino learners to be a nationalistic and possess
positive characteristics that contribute towards nation building. As part of this department, Santikan Elementary H
School has been doing its share to make this vision realized by teaching the pupils how to be a pro-active and A
pro-nation learner. We nurture every learner with love and compassion so that they will become a good,
productive, effective and efficient citizen in the near future. P
Every Filipino has the right to quality basic education. Hence, it takes a great task to educate a child. All
the stakeholders (internal/external) is very important. Each one has a specific function to do, so that every
T
learner will be equipped by the right attitude and proper education to be used as a shield in his/her daily life E
activities.

Education is a significant factor in a human being in building his total personality. He or she must be
educated and involved whether in formal and informal education. The Department of Education sets a unified
vision, mission and core values to be guide for all the Philippine schools and this will be adapted by the society 1
particularly the youth which will lead to the better future for the next generation to come, literacy will prevail into
the whole populace and will guide us educators on what input are we going to impart to our learners in order to
compete globally and to become 21st century learners. The school through its implementation of Deped
programs with the help of stakeholders aimed to be a wheel and armor in the child’s journey towards success.
This vision and mission of changing the life of the learner will be achieved by the implementations of different
techniques and innovations with access to new technology and information gearing towards the realization of the
goals and objectives of the academe.

In order to achieve our vision, mission and core values we are guided to make an Enhanced School
Improvement Plan (SIP) to address the needs of our learners and stakeholders. Santikan Elementary School is
one of the nineteen school in Carmen District. Through the seminar-workshop, SES was able to make this
comprehensive Enhanced School Improvement Plan (E-SIP).

Guided by the steps mentioned in DepEd, the school planning team (SPT) was able to identify and
analyze priority improvement areas (PIA), walk the process of listening to the voice of the stakeholders and do
root cause analysis (RCA). From the results, the SPT formulated objectives, set project designs to address the
PIA’s. Through this E-SIP, the school will be guided on what to do for our improvement for school year 2019-
2020 to 2021-2022.

The school faculty and administration is appealing to the continuous support of the external
stakeholders for the success of the implementation of this Enhanced School Improvement Plan. In uplifting the
educational morale and to enhance the improvement of Santikan Elementary School, School Planning Team is
formed and joined hand in hand to discuss issues, activities, programs and projects, planning process,
interactions and decision making for the improvement of the priority areas of the school to achieve its goals.

This is a three-year educational development plan that embodies the Vision and Mission of DepEd as
well as the school’s vision and mission is in line through the programs to be implemented.
