The wooden cutting table is dimly lit with SMALL ANIMAL TEETH
scattered on it, surrounded by rows of shelves with JARS
containing various animal parts and bones surrounded by a
yellow liquid.
The light above the table flickers. The table has various
meat and wood-work tools randomly placed. There is a large
empty portion of the shed that has two CHAIN HOOKS on the
wall.
TITLE: "Vulture"

The man wears LEATHER GLOVES and reaches for his CUTTING
TOOLS. He stretches the mouth open wide to reveal its teeth.
He holds a DENTAL MIRROR in his left hand and a pair of
PLIERS in his right.
He walks back to the working table and lifts his dirty tools.
MAN
(humming)
...teething...teething...

MAN
(humming)
...the little one is teething...
MONTAGE
4) The squirrel's EYES are left wide open as he cuts out the
TONGUE with THICK SHEARS.
6) Man pulls out one small LUNG to reach for the heart,
placing the lung on a TOWEL beside the animal.
END MONTAGE
MAN
Dammit dog!
He places the small heart inside a SMALL JAR beside the rest
on the table, leaving the lung to dry out.
The Hound barks once more, peering at the open door of the
shed.
CUT TO:
The Man rubs his wet hands together. He hears a rustle noise
by the door.
MAN
(friendly)
Hello...
MAN (CONT'D)
(friendly)
Are you lost?
He inches closer.
MAN (CONT'D)
(creepier)
Alone?
MAN (CONT'D)
(friendly)
Don't want to talk? C'mon, I'm just an
old man.
The Little Girl peers over his shoulder to see the HOUND AND
SQUIRREL CARCASS on the worktable. The Man turns and follows
her gaze.
MAN
(pointing over his shoulder)
Oh, them? They're my friends... *
MAN (CONT'D)
(sinister)
You can be their friend, too.
(gesturing inside)
Come inside. *
The Man stands behind her and puts his hands on her
shoulders.
MAN
Don't cry, they aren't gone...
MAN (CONT'D)
They're right here.
The Man points at the SHELVES OF FILLED JARS. The Little Girl

She reaches for a higher shelf with a jar that has a PORTRAIT
pasted on the front instead of a label.
MAN
N-NO NO, not that one.
She loses her grip and the jar falls, SHATTERING into pieces
on the floor. She looks at the ground with slight horror, and
turns to The Man.
MAN
(gritted teeth)
I didn't say you could touch them.
The Little Girl begins to cower beneath his grip. The Man
peers down at her clutching the WHITE BUNNY STUFFED ANIMAL
close to her chest.
MAN
(angered)
A life for a life.
stop.
He tosses the lower half of the stuffed bunny back into her
hands and she releases him, sobbing into it.
MAN
Quit crying.
He leads her into the open corner of the shed and practically
throws her by her arm.
The Little Girl is sobbing with her mouth open now, clutching
the remnants of her toy.
The Man places the filled jar on the highest shelf, which
makes the Little Girl sob even more.
MAN
(enraged)
I said quit crying.
The Man grits his teeth and pulls hard, removing her molar
from her mouth. The Little Girl begins to scream.
The Man tightens his grip on her chin as he pulls the pliers
out from her mouth, holding her molar.
MAN
Quiet!
The Little Girl's face begins to look like the portrait seen

MONTAGE
1) Knife
The Man suddenly bends over and vomits to his side. The pair *
of pliers drop from his hand, the tooth hitting the floor and *
scatters across the floor. *
The Little Girl seizes the opportunity and runs from the
shed, dropping her stuffed toy to the floor.
The Man's dead body lays slumped over in the corner of the *
room, organs twisted and spilling out of his torso. *
FADE TO BLACK *
THE END.
