A Dialogue between a doctor and his patient

Doctor: What is your problem?

Patient: I have been suffering [ভু গছি] from insomnia [অছিদ্রা] for the last few days.

Would you please cure [ছিরাময়] this trouble [সমসযা]?

Doctor: Oh, sure. But before that tell me if you do any physical labour at home.

Patient: Frankly speaking [সছযয বলতয], I spend my time reading, gossiping and sleeping.

Doctor: Do you suffer from any tension?

Patient: Yes, I suffer from this or that tension.

Doctor: That's the reason. I shall test your blood pressure.

Your blood pressure is high It is 150/100.

Patient: What? How could it be? What shall I do now? Oh, God!

Doctor: Have patience. You are averse to physical labour.

This led to your high blood pressure.

Patient: Won't you give me any medicine?

Doctor: Yes, of course. You will take this medicine regularly and you'll soon be quite O. K.

Patient: Thank you, I shall try to obey your advice.

Doctor: I wish you a sound health [সুস্বাস্থ্য]

A Dialogue about aim in life


Apu: Hello Aurpa, how are you?
Aurpa: Hi Apu! Fine, Thank you.
Apu: What were you thinking about?
Aurpa: Oh, actually I was wondering [ভাবছিলাম] what I want to be in future.

Apu: Then, have you already fixed your aim in life?


Aurpa: Of course.
Apu: Oh, that’s great! What is that?
Aurpa: I want to be a doctor in future.
Apu: Really? Why have you decided to be a doctor?
Aurpa: Well, I believe that a doctor can serve [সেবা করা] the suffering [দুঃখী] mankind

[মানবজাছি] best.

Apu: Is that so? Can you please explain [বযাখযা করা] it a little more?
Aurpa: Oh sure. Most of the people in our country are very poor they cannot afford [েমর্থ

হওয়া] the expenses [খরচ] of treatment. As a result, many of them die without proper

treatment.
Apu: In that case, how can you help them?
Aurpa: I want to offer treatment to the poor people free of cost.
Apu: That’s a very good idea. But you know, getting admitted into medical colleges has
become so tough nowadays.
Aurpa: I am trying my best to achieve [অজথন করা] that success.

Apu: I appreciate [কদর করা] your aim and your heartiest [আন্তরিকভাবে] effort to make your

dream comes true. Wish you all the best.


Aurpa: Thank you very much.
Apu: You are welcome.

A Dialogue about the benefits of morning walk


Afra: Hi, Maria. How are you?

Maria: I am fine. What about you? You are looking so tired and sick.

Afra: Right you are. I am not well. I feel weakness physically. I am going to consult a doctor.

Maria: I know, you always get up late in the morning. You never walk in the morning. It is

your bad habit.

Afra: I have heard that you get up early in the morning and walk for quite a long time.

Maria: Yes, I do. I start my day with walking and enjoy the whole day healthy and happy.

Afra: Can you tell me more about the benefits of morning walk?

Maria: Morning walk can boost your energy. It gives you benefits both physically and

mentally. You can breathe [ছিিঃশ্বাস নিয়া] pure oxygen in the morning and sleep better at

night. You will feel fresh and lively all day long.

Afra: I will try to get up early from tomorrow and practice to continue morning walk.

Maria: Certainly, you will feel hale and hearty like others.

Afra: Thanks a lot for your wise suggestion.

Maria: I wish you a sound health and sound mind.

Afra: See you later. Bye.

Maria: Bye.
