Google Forms Assessment Task Analysis

1. Open Google Chrome (or other internet browser)


2. Ensure that you are logged into Google with the correct e-mail
3. Open Google forms from waffle menu on top right
4. Select Assessment by double clicking
5. Rename assessment appropriately by placing cursor on assessment at top left and click
6. Delete assessment and rename
7. Add instructions to description section
8. Delete name section by clicking on it then trash can
9. Delete email section by clicking on it then trash can
10. Delete multiple select option by clicking on it then trash can
11. Delete short answer question option by clicking on it then trash can
12. Delete long answer question option by clicking on it then trash can
13. Place cursor over “question 1”
14. Delete “question 1” and type question or number of question
15. Insert picture by clicking on picture tool
16. Click from Google Drive
17. Click on desired picture
18. Click insert
19. Click on picture and resize by dragging corners
20. Add answer options
21. Click “Answer key”
22. Select correct answer
23. Deselect all other answers
24. Change points value if necessary by clicking the up or down arrow
25. Click the plus sign to add next question
26. Repeat steps 14-24 until all questions have been posted
27. Click the paint palette on the top right of page to see theme options
28. Click on “image uploaded” and select header image
29. Click on a theme color
30. Clock on a background color
31. Use drop down menu to select font
32. Click on the eye to preview assessment for review
33. Click on the gear image to change settings
34. Select box beside general settings you would like
35. Click presentation at top
36. Click box beside presentation settings you would like
37. Add a confirmation message if desired
38. Click quizzes
39. Select box beside any quiz settings you would like
40. Click save
41. Click responses
42. Click on Google Sheets page
43. Pop-up will ask to create new spread or select existing
44. Since this is the pre-assessment, select create new and click create
45. Highlight question columns by clicking and dragging
46. Right click
47. Select resize columns
48. Resize to 40
49. Highlight all question columns with the correct answer A by holding control and clicking
on them
50. Right Click
51. Select conditional formatting
52. Click drop down menu for “format cells if….”
53. Select text is exactly
54. In value or formula bar, type A
55. A
56. On formatting style, green should be selected to symbolize that this is the correct answer
57. Click done
58. Click add another rule
59. Text is exactly B
60. Click default and change to red to symbolize incorrect response
61. Click add another rule
62. Text is exactly C
63. Click default and change to red to symbolize incorrect response
64. Text is exactly D
65. Click default and change to red to symbolize incorrect response
66. Repeat steps other questions varying answer colors depending on whether it is correct
or not
67. Go back to assessment
68. Click on three dots to explore further options
69. If you would like to send the assessment directly, hit send
70. This pop-up will allow you to email assessment by entering emails, use link to copy into
another area, or embed the form
