Candy

Candy and her mother went on a shopping trip last Saturday. They visited a shoe shop so Candy could buy a new pair of shoes for school. They also bought groceries at the supermarket, where Candy helped her mother with the cart. After finishing the grocery shopping, they went their separate ways - her mother visited the florist while Candy bought a book and cards at the bookshop. They reunited and got cold lemonades at a nearby coffee house. Their final stop was the emporium, where they purchased clothes before getting tired and taking a taxi home.

Candy’s shopping trip!

My mother and I went shopping last Saturday. We first visited a shoe


shop as I needed a new pair for school. My mother bought a pair of low-
heeled shoes for herself also.

Next, we entered a supermarket. Mother bought some foodstuff and


provisions here. I helped her with the trolley. When mother had completed
her list of grocery items, she went to the florist's to buy flowers. I preferred
the bookshop, so we went different ways. I bought a story book and some
birthday cards. By that time mother had selected her flowers. Together, we
left the place. Feeling thirsty, we adjourned to a coffee-house nearby and
ordered a cold lemonade each.

Finally, the emporium was our last stop. Here we added some T-
shirts and shorts. By now, we were tired and heavily loaded. So we
took a taxi home. I enjoy shopping with mother on a Saturday.
