Activity 2: reflection

Study the Reading on Portfolios from the Glossary of Education Reform. Based on your
reading, reflect on the following questions and jot down your answers in your Study
Notebook:

1. How will your Portfolio help you in tracking the progress of your teaching practice in
your School’s LDM?

ANS: Portfolio are intended to evaluate learning progress and achievement

in a specific course, by completing my portfolio in LAC sessions about
LDMs. I can now be ready for the challenge of the new normal way of
teaching.

2. What evidence from the previous modules will help capture the progress of your
teaching practice?
ANS: In the previous module which is module 4, I had learned about making
individual development plan by this I can now assess my weaknesses and
strength in terms of teaching practices.

3. Why is writing down your reflections an integral part of your Portfolio?

ANS: Writing the reflection in portfolio will keep all work in a folder; at the
end of the activity. It indicates the strengths and weaknesses that need to
return for further study or adjustments. The reflection will help us to
continue to improve in some other ways for future preference.
Activity 3:

Familiarize yourself with the List of Suggested Evidence Form.

Is the list of evidence enough to capture the progress of your teaching practice?

What other evidence can you think of that is relevant to the LDM adopted by your
School?

Write down your answers and other insights in your Study Notebook.

MODULE 5:
BUILDING THE TEACHING PORTFOLIO RELATED TO
THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MODALITIES
LESSON 1: THE TEACHING PORTFOLIO AND ITS CONTENTS
LESSON 2: EVALUATION RUBRIC
At the start of the LAC session, our team leader started with a reminder about the
tasks to be accomplished and submitted for the day.
Team members share their experiences regarding the previous session.

At the start, the facilitators briefly explained the objectives of the course which is
mainly about the teaching portfolio and its contents and the evaluation rubric.
LDM 5 Lesson 1 focused on the guides on how to prepare for the portfolio to be
submitted to the LAC leader. LDM2 Guide for Expected Outputs was explained well
which will serve as a checklist to make sure that we have completed all the required
outputs for Modules 1-4. It was stressed out that we need to finalize our list of
evidences in the List of Suggested Evidence Form before submission.
Lesson 2 is about the Evaluation Rubric which also served as our guidelines if
we were able to hit the criteria and indicators found on the rubric. Each criterion were
discussed so that we understood each clearly.
They also shared their answers to some of the questions to help each other to
complete the 4 modules. Everyone in the group made sure that we have all the answers
so that no one is left behind.
To summed it up, everyone enjoyed every session as it is very lively in a formal
way. Ideas were being entertained and accepted. Our leader always gives us words of
encouragement and always remind us to just enjoy what we are doing.

During sessions, we experienced some minor technicalities like poor internet

connection.
The session was ended by our Team Leader reminding members to accomplish
all the required outputs to be submitted. We parted ways with a good heart and feeling
of relief that all is well with God’s Grace.

Activity 5: finalization of evidences

Based on the sharing and discussion in your LAC, finalize your list of evidence in the
List of Suggested Evidence Form and submit to your LAC Leader. Make sure that you
keep a copy for yourself.

LESSON 2: THE EVALUATION RUBRIC

Activity 1:
Study the criteria and indicators found in the Evaluation Rubric.
What steps will you take to ensure that you are able to hit the criteria in the Rubric?
Write down your answers and any other thoughts about the Rubric in your Study
Notebook.
ANS: In making to be successful in making the portfolio, first I will consider to
evaluate the progress of my portfolio to my co-teachers and let them grade then
adjust according to their recommendation. Second I will follow the guidelines
listed on the rubric, follow it is needed to make my portfolio presentable and
according to the standard of deped.

Activity 2: (FGD)

Discuss and share your thoughts on the Rubric in your LAC Session.

Present your steps to make your outputs and Portfolio responsive to the evaluation
criteria and indicators.

Take note of your colleagues’ other insights as well.

As a final reminder:

Make sure that you are able to collect the evidence of your teaching practice as you
have listed, and organize these into a Portfolio.

At the end of the year, you will submit your Portfolio to your LAC Leader, who will
announce the specific date and manner of submission
