Case no.1 Teacher charged for slapping 8 students
 Article VIII- The Teachers and Learners, Section 8- A teacher shall not inflict corporal
punishment on offending learners nor make deductions from their scholastic ratings as a
punishment for acts which are clearly not manifestation of poor scholarship.
 Even if the students were at fault, the teacher is still violating the code of ethics. A teacher must
warn, guide and give advice to his/her students. The anger should be neglected because once it
bursts out, both parties might regret it. The teacher is won’t be considered a responsible
professional if she can’t control her emotions.
Case no.2 A decided case on immorality of a public-school teacher
 Article XII- Disciplinary actions, Section 1- Any violation of any provisions of this code shall be
sufficient ground for the imposition against the erring teacher of the disciplinary action
consisting of revocation of his Certification of Registration and License as a Professional
Teacher, suspension from the practice of teaching profession, reprimand or cancellation of his
temporary/special permit under causes specified in Sec. 23. Article HI or R.A. No. 7836. and
under Rule 31. Article VIII. of the Rules and Regulations Implementing R.A. 7836.
 A teacher must know his responsibility towards his family and know how to discipline his self.
There is probably nothing wrong with bigamy as long as you know how to provide, do not lie or
cheat on both sides and not create chaos. But since the teacher showed immorality, dishonorable
conduct and unsupportive to his child, he just proved that he is a worthless father, husband and a
professional. That’s why they have the right to suspend him because he just violated not only
one code but some of the code of ethics.
Case no.3 Teacher faces raps for abusing students
 Article VIII- The Teachers and Learners, Section 8- A teacher shall not inflict corporal
punishment on offending learners nor make deductions from their scholastic ratings as a
punishment for acts which are clearly not manifestation of poor scholarship.
 Students expect teachers to show good moral values, abusing students and threatening them does
not define that they are real educators. The purpose of being a teacher is to help on guiding the
students to develop themselves by showing them what is right and good. But abusing and
threatening them is not a good teacher at all.
Case no. 4 Teacher guilty of abusing student
 Article VIII- The Teachers and Learners, Section 7- In a situation where mutual attraction and
subsequent love develop between teacher and learner, the teacher shall exercise utmost
professional discretion to avoid scandal, gossip and preferential treatment of the learner.
 The teacher just violated the law because he sexually abused the student, he should have
controlled his feelings for her as well as his desires. He is not well aware of his profession and
duties in doing that action that’s why he was sentenced to prison for 30 years. He did not only
create a scandal or gossip, but sexually abused a student and lost his job as well.
