SPECTATOR INFORMATION
BOARDMAN SPARTAN CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL
Hello, Coaches!
Congratulations on qualifying for the Regional Championships. Best of luck on your
journey to State!
Covid modifications for the Regional Championship will in many ways mirror the
modifications in place for last month’s Spartan Invitational. This communication deals with
Spectator Modifications and Expectations only. We ask that you forward this to all your parents
and communicate to them the need to help us meet the expectations of our local health
department.
Bullet pointed spectator information is below. Please review it carefully. Information
regarding competition and athletes is in a separate document. However, if you have any
questions, feel free to email me at
[email protected] or call my cell phone
at (330) 921-9583.
WHO CAN COME & HOW
• Teams are limited to “family and loved ones” spectators. We have been approved for
600 spectators per race. Based on race size, each division’s allotment of tickets per
athlete differs.
Division 1 = 3 tickets per athlete
Division 2 = 4 tickets per athlete
Division 3 = 5 tickets per athlete
How you split these up among your competitors is up to you.
• Each spectator must purchase an online ticket in advance through the OHSAA website
at this link. Early in the week after Districts you will receive a code from the OHSAA
good for your amount of allotted tickets. So, you’ll have to be sure each family
purchases only their allotted amount.
• QR codes are the entry tickets and will be scanned before admittance to our parking
area. QR codes must be saved to their phone or printed and presented upon arrival.
• Tickets prices are set by OHSAA and listed on their website
• Non-competing athletes are not permitted to attend. Non-ticket bearing spectators will
not be admitted.
SPECTATOR EXPECTATIONS
• Have QR codes ready to scan upon entry
• Remain in your vehicle until 15 minutes before the published start time of your race.
• Return to your vehicle and leave the property within 15 minutes of the end of your race.
• Wear masks and socially distance from those not in your family unit, especially at the
start and finish areas.
• Spectators are not permitted to visit team camps or to be near the start or finish areas.
• At all times, we ask that spectators respectfully comply with any reasonable request
from meet management.
