REPORT ANALYSIS
Our group presentation is a friendly rap battle between two entrepreneurs, Tony Tan
Caktiong and Jose Magsaysay Jr. The two have the similarities of having food businesses,
international platforms, and stable success in their career. With Caktiong as the founder of
Jollibee, it all began when he tried changing the concept of his ice cream business into selling fast
food. Meanwhile, Magsaysay stuck to his authenticity with his potato fries food cart of different
flavors and reached more popularity as time went on. Needless to say, these are all results of their
hard work, initiatives, and determination throughout their paths. I also think that this
presentation also shows that entrepreneurship is competitive and it is up to you to reach the
success you want or need. According to Magsaysay in an article from Manila Standard, we
should market our businesses as early as childhood because it will clearly make a mark for their
entire lifetime. I can relate what he implied to our presentation because I think a majority of
Filipino children like watching FlipTop rap battles.
For me, the process of creating this presentation is one that needs the most effort and
initiative. The process of writing verses and editing was fun. However, at times we find it hard to
continue because of its complex process. I believe that what we did was slow-yet-steady progress,
and find originality through our ideas. As Magsaysay once said again on his blog, you just have
to be original and creative, then trust the process that goes in between.
