Richard Avedon
Richard Avedon was born in New York City on May 15, 1923.

He, unfortunately isn't alive anymore. He died on October 1, 2004 in San Antonio
Texas. A cerebral hemorrhage brought him into the hospital, where he died.
Style of Photography
Avedon's style was extremely unique. Most times, his pictures were in front of a
white backdrop. Also, his photographs were always black and white.

He was known for his minimalism in his pictures and the portraits he took of
celebrities.

Some of Avedon's photographs
have black lining around them,
with small letters and numbers
on the side. This shows that he
used film or created a film effect.

What do I like about Richard Avedon?
I love the simplicity in his pictures.
They are still photographed well
and have the right composition,
but none of them are super
complicated to look at.
They all look really neat and
organized.
The models are in the perfect
places and the way the
photograph is composed is never
wrong.
