PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
Refer to Figure 1. When a web break is
detected, the air valve is opened and the
severer is fired. Rubber “E” and clamping bar
“F” compress, clamping the web. Rubbers “C”
and “D” do not compress, allowing the web to
be pulled into the blade for cutting.
The web is released automatically if the
optional manual release button (see Figure 2)
is not installed. When the release button is
installed, the web remains clamped until the MANUAL
button is pressed. RELEASE
