Here we go again.

Let’s play a word game. I will say a small sentence. Listen and mime the action or
task. (Mime means (acting using only gesture and action: a style of performance in which people act out situations or portray
characters using only gesture, facial expression, and action.)

Practice Game “A”:

1. Open your school bags.


2. Take out your note book and pen.
3. Keep the notebooks and pen on your bag.
4. Stand up.
5. Jump up.
6. Be silent.
7. Raise up your right arm.
8. Hold your left ear with your right hand.
9. Turn left.
10.Sit down.
11.Release your left ear.
12.Turn Right.
13.Place your notebook in your left hand.
14.Hold your pen in your right hand.
15.Write down all the 15 sentences you heard.

Look at the first word of the each of these sentences.

Each of these words has two tense forms and three aspect forms:

Remember :

I.)English verb has only two tense forms : The Present Tense and The Past Tense.
There is no Future Tense form.

II.) The three ‘Aspect forms’ have no tense. Two of them(perfective and
progressive) need auxiliary verbs to show tense.

Read the contents of the table many times and learn the forms as you learn
mathematics tables.

Practice Game “B”:

Let’s Change each of the sentences done in Game “A” by using the past tense
form .The first sentence has been done for you. Use only the Past tense form of
each verb. (Oral practice)

Let’s use the 15 verbs with the nouns like mother , father .my sister ,your friend,

4. I stand up and help everyone.

5. My baby brother jumps up and down the table.

Now use the verbs to say what you do everyday. You may discuss with your
classmates.
