Instructions
This tool calculates benefit-cost ratios for roadway safety improvements in conjunction with 3R projects. The "Setu
worksheet (tab) should be used to establish default values for projects that are inline with your agency's policies. O
values are established in the "Setup" worksheet, you only need to revisit the "Setup" worksheet if any default value
be changed. The "Project" worksheet (tab) is used for each project analysis. The "Calculations" worksheet displays a
intermediate steps in calculating the project cost and safety benefits. A detailed users manual is available in Appen
3R design guidelines developed in NCHRP Project 15-50.
