COLLEGE GOALS To provide quality instruction in the arts and sciences and develop well-rounded professionals who can:
1. think critically, scientifically and independently

4. exemplify disciplined and moral lives;
5. appreciate and cultivate the arts; and
6. help improve the quality of life.
PROGRAM OUTCOMES By the time of graduation, the students of the program shall have the ability to be:
1. Equipped with a working knowledge of human beings and society, social organizations and institutions, social actions, interactions,
interrelations and processes;
2. Knowledgeable and skillful in the interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary approaches in the effective and efficient implementation
of development program and projects; and
3. Adept in the conduct of sociological investigation as basis of decisions, actions and policies of government and other agencies in the
implementation of development programs/projects.
COURSE OUTCOMES At the end of the course the students should be able to:
1. Critically engage in the sociological debate on social and cultural change grounded on underlying trends in the evolution and
transformation of human societies.
2. Understand how global economic factors and demographic change are causing specific social change in various societies around the
world.
3. Give a sociological explanation of change occurring in contemporary social settings.
