Going vertical: Targeting specific customer types or industries
● Customer Acquisition cost has been high($1,500) when targeting all industries. Finding industries
which value their offering would reduce this cost.
● This will help in focusing on targeting specific market segments instead of wasting money in hopes
of reaching every segment in the market. Also, they don’t have to contact a wide range of customers
anymore.
● One such industry is the e-commerce sector where customers seeked for answers very often and at
times they abandon the theri cart due to unanswered queries.SaaS & Financial services also show
high importance for Customer Service
● Reducing the number of stakeholders involved in the decision making process in the client company
is not in the hands of Answerdash.So, option 1 is not feasible.
● As per option 2, they would sell to enterprises only. This would lead to missing out on startups which
have high potential growth rate.
● As per Exhibit 8, e-commerce platforms fits the customer profile of AnswerDash and they are highly
likely to invest in AnswerDash. So, concentrating on e-commerce platforms will increase the revenue
