Editorial
It is a matter of great pride to present 1st issue of “e- BOARD Newsletter of Dept.
of E&Tc, Government Polytechnic, Pune” in the context of NBA accreditation of
courses available with the Institute. As you know, e-Newsletter has been
magnanimous creation of our institute and it is the result of efforts of all active
the members of editorial board, concerned authorities and Students, who
nourished this ‘thought-seed’, now blossomed as plant.
As the editor in Chief, I express a deep sense of gratitude for all those who
directly or indirectly contributed in making this first issue of GPP’s e-Newsletter,
a plethora of institutional progress and achievements. I am thankful to our
Principal, Management and all my colleagues for their guidance and cooperation
time to time to bring out this issue.

Department Missions
● M1: To develop the students to accept contemporary challenges in the
field of electronics and telecommunication engineering by providing
positive environment in the department.
● M2: To enable the students to pursue higher education, promote
entrepreneurship by imparting quality technical education in the field of
Electronics and telecommunication engineering.
● M3: To create an environment for overall personality development of
students including creative and innovative thinking, team work and
professional ethics.
● M4: To motivate students leading towards multidisciplinary innovative
projects and establish linkages among industries and educational
institutes.
PEO’s (Program Educational Objectives)
Student will be able to:
● Use basic principle of science & mathematics tools in E&TC engineering.
● Prepare competent engineers suitable for industrial environment in the
field of E&TC engineering like installation, operation ,maintenance and
application.
● Inculcate fundamental knowledge to start their own entrepreneurship as
well as pursue higher education.

Learning Resources
Projectors
● There are two projectors in the department, one is sony make and other is
manufactured by Dell.
● Both are in working condition also; technical plan and lab plan is prepared
by all faculties.
● 80% of faculties use their own PowerPoint presentations.
Laboratories
● There are 7 laboratories in the department.
● These are Analog Electronics lab, Digital and Microcontroller lab,
Measurement and Control, Communication Engineering, Electronic
Workshop, Advanced Communication Lab, and Computer Centre.
Result Analysis
● Number of Courses below 60 % (For Ist Shi ) : NIL
ALL COURSES ARE HAVING RESULT ABOVE 60%

Expert Lectures
There have been 6 expert lectures organized within the AY 2019-20.
These lectures were conducted by experts from various fields like head HR of
Toyota Motors, Police sub inspector of cyber police station, and many more.

Socio-Economic Activities of Department
Registered alumni association at institute level.
Mr. Narayan Badve- (Manager-Suzlon Energy) is our PBOS Member.
Grand Alumni meet at institute level is organised 29th Feb2020.

Socio-Industry Activities of Department:
Rotary Club of Pune installed sanitary napkin disposal machine in the
department under ‘social project on faminine hygiene includes safe disposal of
sanitary napkin’.
Heartfulness Meditation Program arranged for different members of society and
students.
Under 150 th Birth Anniversary of Gandhiji , different social activities are being
conducted during 2018 & 2019(4 activities completed till date).
