APPLICATION
INSPECTION AND EDITING OF A ROPE EQUIPPED WITH TeNOTE CHIP BY MEANS OF THE MOBILE TeNOTE APPLICATION
The system enables transfer of data between a rope equipped with the chip and the Internet application by a mobile phone.
In order to be able to read and edit the chip inside the rope, you need a device (mobile phone, tablet) containing an NFC module for chip reading and a mobile connection to
the Internet (WIFI, data tariff).
Nowadays only applications for systems ANDROID 2.3.3 and higher are available.
Applications for other systems will be added as soon as individual manufacturers place mobile phones with NFC technology on the market.
The application for data reading and writing to the TeNOTE chip can be downloaded for the ANDROID system from the Internet
FREE OF CHARGE – GOOGLE PLAY, search keyword: tenote. Application: TeNOTE.
After entering the search keyword, two applications are offered. The TeNOTE user application and the TeNOTE INSPECTION application for inspection engineers. Choose
the TeNOTE user application with this pictogram:
The TeNOTE INSPECTION application is intended for inspection engineers. You may download it, but you cannot work with it except for reading information about
inspections and data from the chip.
ACTIVATION OF TeNOTE APPLICATION
The TeNOTE application in a mobile phone can work as a chip reading/writing tool only or as a link between the TeNOTE chip and your
TeNOTE ACCOUNT. In order to communicate with the account, you have to connect the application to the account by means of the same
user name and password as used for the TeNOTE ACCOUNT (necessity of connection of the mobile phone to the Internet):
If you do not want to transfer data, you can use the TeNOTE application in your mobile phone for chip reading/writing only.
Then you do not have to enter any data and do not need a connection to the Internet.
INSPECTION OF ROPE WITH CHIP
CAUTION: Before using the application, you have to activate the NFC module: ADJUST PHONE -> WIRELESS NETWORKS –> NFC.
• activate the NFC module in the mobile phone
• activate the TeNOTE application in the mobile
• put the mobile phone to the chip in the place where the device has its NFC
• rope data appear in the application bookmark after reading
The last entries in the rope diary appear in the bookmark .
WRITING TO THE ROPE CHIP
You may edit any text in the bookmark after reading information from the chip:
Written data may be checked by re-reading the data from the chip.

In order to communicate with the Internet TeNOTE account, you have to connect the mobile TeNOTE
application to your Internet account by means of the same user name and password as used for your web
account (see Activation of TeNOTE Application).
Connection to the Internet is a precondition of communication between the TeNOTE chip and your

writing in order not to overwrite the last entered data.
PRIORITY OF WRITING TO THE CHIP: WRITING TO THE CHIP ->
WRITING TO THE WEB RECOMMENDED

overwritten with up-to-date data.
ROPE INSPECTION
• The inspection engineer uses different applications – both Internet and mobile.
• The inspection engineer may inspect your rope via a mobile phone with the TeNOTE
INSPECTION application or directly via the Internet TeNOTE ACCOUNT. As soon as the
inspection is saved by the inspection engineer, it can be displayed on your TeNOTE
account for the relevant product.
• The inspection engineer may write the inspection directly to the rope chip via the mobile TeNOTE
INSPECTION application.
• The inspection engineer may examine data applicable to your rope (diary, technical parameters) by
means of his applications but cannot edit them.
• You may examine the inspection status of your rope on your TeNOTE ACCOUNT but you cannot
change it. The inspection can be written to the rope chip also. If this has been done by the inspection
engineer, you may read it by means of the mobile TeNOTE INSPECTION application which can be
downloaded to your mobile phone free of charge. It is not possible to make an inspection with this
application but you may read the inspection status from the rope.
MONITORING
OF INSPECTION
STATUS
The TeNOTE INSPECTION application enables to monitor the
inspection status of the product.
The preconditions of inspection status monitoring are a valid
TeNOTE ACCOUNT of the owner, registration of the product in
that account, and at least one performed rope inspection by means
of the TeNOTE Inspection.
The TeNOTE system evaluates the period of time and informs the user
(by an e-mail) about the approaching end of validity of the last
inspection. The system sends this message also to the inspection
engineer who performed the last inspection of the product. The message
is sent 30 days before the end of validity of the last inspection.
The TeNOTE Code is given on the rope tag only.
In case of loss/destruction of the rope tag with the TeNOTE Code it is
not possible to register the rope.
However, if the rope has been already registered and the rope owner
loses the TeNOTE Code, the Code may be regained by means of a
mobile application question as follows:
connect your phone to the Internet
activate the TeNOTE application
read data from the rope chip
press the selection key to get access to the Show TeNOTE Code
function
after pressing you will see the valid TeNOTE Code of the rope on
the phone display
This service is useful when the rope owner changes or the rope is
registered to another TeNOTE account.
CAUTION: The TeNOTE Code can be ascertained only if the rope has
been registered to a TeNOTE account and the question is sent from a
phone connected to that account.
You may also use a QR Code for connection to the
application.
