Question Paper Pattern

Section A – Reading 10 Marks

I. Multiple Choice Questions, fill in the blanks and objective type questions based
on a passage. (5 marks)

II. Multiple Choice Questions, fill in the blanks and objective type questions
based on a passage. (5
marks)

Section B -Writing 15 Marks

III. Writing a paragraph on the given topic or sequencing the order and write it in
a paragraph. One out of two questions is to be answered. (7x1=7)

II. Writing a story on the basis of given outline. (8x1=8)

Section C - Grammar 15 marks

IV. Objective type Questions, based on various grammar topics, to be answered.

a. Fill in the blanks using the future continuous tense forms of the verbs given in
m brackets. (1x3=3)
b. Insert exclamation mark and rewrite the sentences. (1x2=2)
c. Find out the material nouns in the sentences. (1x2=2)
d. Unscramble the letters in the brackets to find collective nouns for these given
mm words. (1x2=2)
e. Fill in the blanks with suitable participles. (1x2=2)
f. State what type of sentences these are. (1x4=4)
Section D - Literature 20 Marks

V. Questions on meanings & opposites. (1x7=7)

VI. Short Answer Type Questions, to be answered. (2x5=10)

VII. Long Answer Type Question. One out of two questions is to be answered.
