INFINITIVE AND -ING

After the verbs enjoy, like, love, hate, recommend we use -ING

After verbs hope, want, choose, decided, would like we use INFINITIVE

After prepositions, by, about, for, we use -ING

After adjectives easy, difficult, lucky, etc, we use INFINITIVE

REMEMBER, STOP AND TRY WITH -ING AND THE INFINITIVE

Remember + ing is when you remember something that happened in the past.

-I remember going to the cinema when I was a child

-He remembers closing the door yesterday.

Remember + to + infinitive:

When you thing that you need to do something, and usually then you do this thing.

-I remembered to buy milk = I was walking by the street and this idea came to my head, so I bought some.

TRY + -ING

When we do something as an experiment

TRY + INFINITIVE

When we make an effort

STOP + -ING

When we stop an activity, we use stop + ing
