FIELD OF INTEREST IN DETAIL AND STUDY PLAN AT YOKOHAMA NATIONAL

UNIVERSITY

I am Irrigation Engineer working in the Punjab Irrigation Department since 2011 and
being the nationalist of Pakistan its inevitable to have concern with the Agriculture and
Water Resources which is already under threat with climate change and natural
calamities.

Being Irrigation Engineer I have great desire and interest to equipped myself with latest
and state of the art techniques to manage the available water resources as uncertainty
in future climate change predictions and rapid variability of climate make it problematic
and quite costly to design the structure for long duration considering future climate
change and hence favoring the importance of resilience and adaptation to climate
change.

With the increase in frequencies and extent of floods and droughts, I am very much
concerned to have the insight of the prevention, resilience and adaptation to minimize
the loss.

I have craving to understand the disaster prevention and environmental aspects on the
Irrigation Hydraulic Structures which is compelling me to apply for doctorate program at
Yokohama National University.
