Fancy Accessory is a company that sells fashion accessories such as necklace, bracelet,
earring and etc. The company has grown rapidly and so has the demand for the fashion
accessories.
The company employs 6 people, and has office and warehouse space in an office park
designed to encourage small businesses.
Currently Fancy Accessory has relied upon manual data collection methods for taking
orders, billing, and managing inventory. With this new plan, the owner has decided to
employ you to develop a system for managing orders, billing and inventory.
1. Use the structured analysis concept called the systems development life cycle (SDLC)
to plan and manage the system development process. Describe activities and
functions engaged in the project.
System Planning: The system developer processes the system request which
describes problems or desired changes from the client with their business process.
Then write a preliminary investigation report.
System Analysis: The system developer needs to make some analysis and build a
logical model of the new system according to client requirement. The system
developer may use the fact-finding techniques such as interview, survey to
produce a system requirement document.
System Design: The system developer needs to create a physical model that
satisfies all documented requirements for the system Some action such as
designing a user interface, identify input, process.
System Implementation: In this part, new system is constructed, the program are
written, tested, documented and installed. Finally, it is a completely functioning
and documented information system.
System Security and Support: The system developer has designed well the system
be secure, reliable, maintainable and scalable. Most information systems need to
be updated significantly or replaced after several years of operation
