TRICOPTER Workshop

Short listing Criteria

Due to limitations on the number of people we can offer place at Techfest


workshops, we follow a scrutinizing process. The participants will have to fill in
the following questionnaire based on which short listing shall be done.

• The following questions have to be answered in the space provided.


• Name the file after the questions has been answered as “ICxxxx.doc” where
ICxxxx is the team registration number. Attach the file and mail it to
[email protected] before 20th November 2010.
•Please note getting shortlisted in workshop do not assure your accomodation

Q.1 What is the mechanism used to minimize torque in tricopter?

Eligibility
Participants having a valid ID card of their respective educational institutions
are eligible for the workshop.
Team Specifications
Each team can consist of a maximum of 6 members. Participants from
different colleges may form a team.
Short listing Criterion
Due to limitations on the number of people we can offer place at Techfest
workshops, we follow a scrutinizing process. The participants will have to fill in
a questionnaire based on which short listing shall be done.
1. Name the file after the questions has been answered as TCxxxx.doc
where TCxxxx is the team registration number. Attach the file and mail it to
workshops[at]techfest[dot]org with your team registration number as the
subject.
2. You have to submit this questionnaire before 20th November 11:59
PM IST.

Pre Requisites
This is a basic level workshop and hence there are no pre requisites for it.
Payment Details
The cost of the workshop is Rs 20,000 per team (without the radio control
remotes).
, An additional amount of Rs 5,000 is to be paid by teams opting for radio
controllers.
For teams opting the workshop without remote, following is
applicable:
Teams with their own remotes to fly their planes. should have following
configurations:
1. The remote should be of MODE II configuration i.e. the throttle stick
should be on the left hand side.
2. Remote should be atleast 6 channel, i.e. 6 channels for receiver and 6
channels for transmitter.
3. Preferable frequency is 2.4 Ghz.
Teams with no remote will be provided with remote at the time of workshop
for their flying session which will be tuned according to tricopter.
Details of the payment will be mailed to the participants after getting
shortlisted for the workshop.
Certificate Criterion
All participants should be present in all the sessions. Failing this, no certificate
shall be awarded to the participant.
