Subject: - Special Items.

a) API 5000 to ASME # (e.g. 300 #) Flanged Adapter(Transition Spool)

b) API 5000 to ASME # Beveled end (Transition Spool)

c) API 5000 to ASME # Reducing Flange

Purpose

To place the special items till the Data Sheet and RDB are available.

Procedure (User)

a) API 5000 to ASME Flanged Adapter:-

1. Connect to the Nozzle.

2. Change the first size to required size (e.g. 6”).


 

3. Click on the “cp2”.

 
 
4. Click on Piping Specialty.

5. Click on Geometry and Spec Data.

 
 
6. Click on  

 
 

 
7. Fill in piping_Comp_no as per P&ID or Data Sheet.
 

8. Change the gcp_rating to ASME rating (e.g. 300) , gcp_end_prep to


RFFE and gcp_table_suffix to Default.

 
 
9. Accept.
10. Give A= Face to Face Dimension (e.g. 500 MM)
 

 
11. Accept.

 
12. Accept. 
b) API 5000 to ASME # Beveled end (Transition Spool) :-

1. Connect to the Nozzle.

2. Place the Flange (e.g. 4 1/16”) with Commodity option.

 
 

3. After Flange is placed, Change the second Size (e.g 4”)

4. Click on Piping Specialty.

5. Click on Geometry and Spec Data.

 
6. Click on Cylinder 2CPS.
 

 
7. Fill in piping_Comp_no as per P&ID or Data Sheet.

8. Accept.
 

 
 

9. Give A= End to End Dimension (e.g. 150 MM)

10. Accept.

c) API 5000 to ASME # Reducing Flange

1. Connect to the Nozzle.

2. Change the second size to 4”.

3. Select the commodity option and reducing flange.
