LESSON # 1: Twin Goals of Critical Thinking and Problem Solving

Conceptual Framework and Theoretical Bases
Learning Area Standard and Key Stage Standards

I. PREPARATION

The quote signifies that problems is the result of our impulsive decisions in life.
That is why it is never to easy to solve the problems we have created. This quote
reminds us that whenever we make our decisions, we have to think critically and
surely in that way we will be able to make steps in order for us not to commit
mistakes. And if ever we have one, it is very significant for us not rush things.
Everything has a perfect time and problems is part of life, no one is perfect but
we could certainly do our best to overcome all the trials and struggles that may
come in our way.

B. Make 2 hashtags about the Key Stage 1 of the K to 12 Basic Education
Program Elementary Mathematics Curriculum and explain each with a
minimum of 2 statements and a maximum of 5 sentences.

1. #MathisLife
• Math is all around us. As early as our elementary grades, it is already taught
to us. It is very significant to have a strong foundation of mathematical skills in
order to become more competent upon facing our higher math. In that way we
will be able to apply all the concepts and lessons in real life situations.

2. # MathematicsAKey2Success
• Mathematics is one of the subjects that most students are afraid of. As
educators it is our ultimate goal to make our learners love it. We have to show
them that learning math is fun for Math is not just a subject but it is also a tool
towards achieving our dreams.
