To whom it may concern:

I had to privilege of serving as Josie Stamey’s guidance counselor during her enrollment time at
Lumpkin County High School. During her time at LCHS Josie demonstrated the characteristics
of a strong well-rounded student. Regardless of the any situation presented, she was always
focused, driven, and dedicated to her academic responsibilities. Not only did Josie maintain a
rigorous academic course load but she also worked a fulltime job and oftentimes filled the role
of caretaker at home. Her interests include art theory, painting, and poetry. In fact, Josie
received awards for her art pieces during 2019-2020. Oftentimes conversations with Josie were
similar to that of a seasoned adult. Her life experiences helped her gain maturity,
independence, determination, and articulation skills. From the moment Josie enrolled in LCHS
her short-term goal was to graduate high school and obtain her cosmetology degree. I was very
pleased to hear that her long-term goals have developed into joining the national guard and
attending UNG for biochemical engineering. I have the utmost confidence that regardless of
what Josie decides to do, her future is bright. She will leave a mark wherever she goes. Please
feel free to reach out to me if you have any other questions.
Sincerely,
Kelly Crisson
