Assignment 3

I/O Interface

1. A microprocessor system has RAM from address 0000H to 7FFFH and ROM from B000H to FFFFH.
How many total bytes of RAM does this system have? How many bytes of ROM? How much of the
memory space is unused?
2. A certain microcomputer has the following memory specifications:
a. 2716 2k ROM @ address 0H;
b. 2732 4k ROM @ address F000H;
c. 8 HM6116 2k RAMs immediately following the 2716 in memory space.
Draw the memory map.
3. How many bit address will be the following memory capacity?
a. 256 Mbytes
b. 8 Gbytes
c. 512 kbytes
