3. DISASSEMBLY & REASSEMBLY
3-1) Precaution

• Unplug the refrigerator before cleaning and making repairs.

• Do not dissemble or repair the refrigerator by yourself.
- You run risk of causing a fire, malfunction and/or personal injury.
• Remove any foreign matter or dust from the power plug pins.
- Otherwise there is a risk of fire.
• Do not use a cord that shows cracks or abrasion damage along its length or at either end.
• Do not plug several appliances into the same multiple power board.
The refrigerator should always be plugged into its own individual electrical which has a voltage rating that matched the
rating plate.
- This provides the best performance and also prevents overloading house wiring circuits, which could cause a fire
hazard from overheated wires.
• Do not install the refrigerator in a damp place or place where it may come in contact with water.
- Deteriorated insulation of electrical parts may cause an electric shock or fire.
• The refrigerator must be grounded.
- You must ground the refrigerator to prevent any power leakages or electric shocks caused by current leakage from
the refrigerator.
• Do not put bottles or glass containers in the freezer.
- When the contents freeze, the glass may break and cause personal injury.
• Do not store volatile or flammable substances in the refrigerator.
- The storage of benzene, thinner, alcohol, ether, LP gas and other such products may cause explosions.

4. TROUBLESHOOTING
4-1-5) Operation Restoration function in case of power failure
1) In case of a temporary power failure, if the Panel Display is initialized, the customer may call to the service
center thinking that it is abnormal operation. To prevent this situation, the unit checks the internal temperature
of the freezer room and initializes or restore the operation status.
2) When the power is turned on for the first time, the unit detects the freezer's internal temperature and the
freezer defrost sensor temperature and if any of the temperature is under +10℃, the unit judges the case as
temporary power failure and restores the panel display functions (Power Freeze, Fridge, Freezer, Door Alarm
function, etc.).
3) When the power is turned on for the first time, the unit detects the freezer's internal temperature and the
freezer defrost sensor temperature and if both of the temperatures are above +10℃, the unit judges the case
as long time power failure and initializes the Display Panel. (The Freezer Temp. is set to -19℃. The Fridge
Temp. is set to 3℃. The Door Alarm is set to On.)

4-1-6) Exhibition Mode

1) If both of the Freezer and the Door Alarm buttons are pressed and held for 6 seconds during the normal
operation, the Panel Display blinks the entire display area at 0.5 seconds for approximately 4 seconds.
2) At this time, release the Freezer and the Door Alarm buttons and press the Fridge button. Then (“ding-dong”
sounds and) the unit turns to the Exhibition Mode. If the unit enters the Exhibition Mode, only the F room
temperature display shows “on” for 5 seconds.
3) If the Exhibition Mode is set, all the display and buttons normally work but the compressor does not work.
4) To cancel the Exhibition Mode, press the Exhibition Mode button or turn the power off. If the Exhibition Mode
is canceled by pressing the Exhibition Mode button, the F room temperature display shows “oF” for 5
seconds.
5) In the Exhibition Mode, of the freezer or the fridge room temperature rise to over 65℃, the Exhibition Mode is
automatically canceled and the unit returns to the cooling operation.

● If the display is switched to the Option Settings Mode, the entire display is turned off except the freezer
and the fridge temperatures.

Freezer Temp Control Fridge Temp Control Display On/Off Setting

1) For example, suppose that you want to lower the freezer temperature by 2℃ using the Option Settings
mode, complete the steps below. This function changes the base temperature. If the current base
temperature for freezer was -21℃ and you lower the temperature by 2℃ using the Option Settings, the
base temperature is set to -23℃. That is, after the temperature option has been changed, even if the
temperature setting is displayed as -21℃ on the display panel, the internal temperature is maintained as
-23℃. It means that the base temperature is controlled to -2℃ lower than the temperature setting on the
display panel.

Note All
the option values are cleared by default when the unit is shipped. This is, all the option values are
set to “0”. However, since the option values are subject to change for quality improvement, be sure to
always check the quality document.

2) After the unit turns to the Option Settings mode, the display shows the option number and the value
which is “0” by default. (Although the Fridge and the Freezer option values should be set to “0”, the
default values are subject to change to improve the quality of the product.)

- If the fridge shows option number “0”, the freezer temperature option is selected and the current freezer
temperature option value is displayed on the freezer temperature on the display panel.
3) Set the fridge's option number to “0” and set the value to “4” as show in the freezer room option table
below to lower the base temperature for the freezer room by 2℃. (Refer to the figure showing how to
change the freezer temperature.)
: In 20 seconds after the setting, the Micom saves the change on the EEPROM and the display returns to
the normal state and the Option Setting mode is canceled.
5) You can also control the base temperature for the fridge room as above.
6) Since the option values are set and saved on EEPROM when the product is shipped, avoid changing the
values without a reason. The option value change is applied only when the display returns to the normal
state after 20 seconds. To save the change, be sure not to turn the power off before the display returns
to the normal state.
