An audition is required for admittance to all degree programs in the Conservatory
of Music. Conservatory admission auditions take place in November, February, and March. If there are circumstances that prevent your attendance at the scheduled auditions, you may contact the Area Director to arrange an individual appointment.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants for admission on trumpet should be prepared to perform one or more
selections from the standard repertoire that reflect both lyrical and technical proficiency.
Representative material may include: Haydn Trumpet Concerto in Eb, Hummel
Trumpet Concerto in Eb, Kennan Sonata, Ropartz Andante and Allegro, Goedicke Concert Etude, or selections of like difficulty.
Auditions will take place before the Area Director and appropriate faculty members of the Conservatory of Music.
