Dhval Target

The stereo camera module is being simulated to validate camera-based assistance systems in vehicles. The simulation aims to optimize the camera's heat sink and base cover design to improve heat dissipation, reduce electronic component temperatures, and extend the camera's lifecycle. The simulation software FLOEFD will model natural convection and radiation heat transfer using parameters like an ambient air temperature of 83°C and total heat load of 14W/mK. Comparing normal and optimized camera models will analyze differences in convection, temperatures, and identify any housing issues to further refine the design.

Simulation Target :

The stereo Camera Module is designed for the simulation and validation of camera-based
assistance and automated driving functions. The camera model will be done. To improve
better heat dissipation and reduce temperature of electronic component, To optimize the
design of heat sink such as a number of fins increase in heat sink. Also increase the thickness
of base cover will be optimized for better performance of camera model and reduce
temperature inside the camera model and improve the lifecycle of model.
For simulation of model FLOEFD software is used. The heat transfers to surrounding ambient
air is taken into account as heat transfer boundary condition. Natural convection, heat
transfer coefficient of boundary condition of simulation model is taken 10 W/m2K and
radiation are taken into consideration with total heat load of 14 W/mK in components of
assembly. For simulation of natural convection and temperature of critical components,
Ambient air 83 °C will be taken in model.
Comparing both normal and optimized model to see the difference between result in natural
convection and temperature of components, also housing of camera module will be analyzed
: if any problems will shown then it will solve by taking suitable measurement for better design
parameters.
