The staple foods in the United Kingdom include roots and tubers, meat, and fish. British food
is traditionally has based on meat such as beef, lamb, pork, and chicken. Foods that are
served go along with potatoes and one or two other vegetables. 

Let us proceed to the most famous variety of hearty food that people in the United Kingdom
savour. Traditional British dishes have had competition from other courses over the years.
British cuisine has many regional varieties of foods because consists of 4 countries and each
has developed its own local dishes.
Fish and chips are one of the most famous foods that originated in England. It brings a warm
and filling meal for any stomach. This dish is a must-try no matter where you are, you will be
able to find a delicious plate of fish and chips.
Bangers and Mash is a traditional dish of Great Britain and Ireland. It consists of sausages
and mashed potatoes and is often go with peas and gravy.
Sunday Roast is typically served for lunch on Sunday and it is already a part of the national
identity. This main meal is made up of roasted meat (beef, chicken, lamb, or pork),
accompanied with potato, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, vegetables, and gravy.
Chicken Tikka Masala. This meal of roasted chicken chunks in a spicy sauce has long topped
lists of Britain’s most popular restaurant dishes. It is considered a national dish of the United
Kingdom.
