Furosemide,

sold under the brand name Lasix among others, is a medication used to treat fluid build-up due to heart
failure, liver scarring, or kidney disease. It may also be used for the treatment of high blood pressure. It
can be taken by injection into a vein or by mouth. When taken by mouth, it typically begins working

Bisacodyl

Indications/Uses Constipation & bowel evacuation before investigational procedures or surgery.

Action Pharmacology: Bisacodyl is diphenylmethane stimulant laxative used for the treatment of
constipation and for bowel evacuation before investigational procedures or surgery. Its action is mainly
in the large intestines and it is usually effective within 6 to 12 hours following administration by mouth
and within 15 to 60 minutes following rectal administration. Bisacodyl tablets should be swallowed
whole and should not be taken within one hour of milk or antacids.

Metoclopramide

Indications Patient with gastrointestinal perforation, hemorrhage or mechanical obstruction, suspected


or known pheochromocytoma or other catecholamine-releasing paragangliomas, history of neuroleptic
or drug-induced tardive dyskinesia, seizure disorder (e.g. epilepsy), Parkinson’s disease, known history
of methemoglobinemia with metoclopramide or nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide-cytochrome b5
reductase (NADH-Cyb5R) deficiency. Concomitant use with drugs which may cause extrapyramidal
reactions.

Nifedipine

Nifedipine, sold under the brand name Adalat among others, is a medication used to manage angina,
high blood pressure, Raynaud's phenomenon, and premature labor. It is one of the treatments of choice
for Prinz metal angina. It may be used to treat severe high blood pressure in pregnancy.

Enhanced antihypertensive effects w/ other antihypertensives, aldesleukin, and antipsychotics.


Concomitant use w/ fentanyl during surgery caused severe hypotension. May modify insulin and glucose
responses. Attenuation of tachycardic effect when used w/ benazerpril. Prothrombin time may be
increased w/ coumarin anticoagulants. Increased serum levels w/ CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g. azole
antifungals, cimetidine, erythromycin, HIV-protease inhibitors, nefazodone, fluoxetine,
quinupristin/dalfopristin).

Dexamethasone

Dexamethasone is a type of corticosteroid medication. It is used in the treatment of many conditions,


including rheumatic problems, a number of skin diseases, severe allergies, asthma, chronic obstructive
lung disease, croup, brain swelling, eye pain following eye surgery, and along with antibiotics in
tuberculosis. 

Fomepizole

Description: Fomepizole is a competitive inhibitor of alcohol dehydrogenase which is an enzyme that


catalyses the metabolism of ethanol, ethylene glycol and methanol to their toxic metabolites. It is used
in the treatment of poisoning by ethylene glycol or methyl alcohol.

Erceflora

Indications/Uses

Acute diarrhea ≤14 days duration due to infections, drugs or poisons. Chronic or persistent diarrhea >14
days duration. Treatment & prophylaxis of intestinal flora imbalance & resulting endogenous
dysvitaminosis. Adjunctive treatment to help restore intestinal bacterial flora that has been altered by
antibiotic or chemotherapy treatments. Acute & chronic GI disorders in breastfeeding infants caused by
intoxication or intestinal flora imbalance w/ dysvitaminosis.

Citicoline

Description: Citicoline is a naturally occurring endogenous nucleoside involved in the biosynthesis of


lecithin. It increases the synthesis of phosphatidylcholine (main neuronal membrane phospholipid) and
enhances acetylcholine production. It is also claimed that it increases blood flow and oxygen
consumption in the brain.

Aminophylline
Description: Aminophylline, a xanthine derivative, is a complex of theophylline and ethylenediamine. It
blocks phosphodiesterase-3 (PDE III), the enzyme that degrades 3’-5’-adenosine monophosphate
(cAMP), promoting catecholamine stimulation of lipolysis, glycogenolysis, and gluconeogenesis and
inducing release of epinephrine from adrenal medulla cells. This results in bronchodilation, diuresis, CNS
and cardiac stimulation, and gastric acid secretion.

Monoamine

oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) were the first type of antidepressant developed. They're effective, but
they've generally been replaced by antidepressants that are safer and cause fewer side effects.

Phenytoin (PHT),

sold under the brand name Dilantin among others, is an anti-seizure medication. It is useful for the
prevention of tonic-clonic seizures and focal seizures, but not absence seizures. The intravenous form,
fosphenytoin, is used for status epilepticus that does not improve with benzodiazepines. It may also be
used for certain heart arrhythmias or neuropathic pain.

Salbutamol

Salbutamol, also known as albuterol and marketed as Ventolin among other brand names, is a
medication that opens up the medium and large airways in the lungs. It is a short-acting β 2 adrenergic
receptor agonist which works by causing relaxation of airway smooth muscle. It is used to treat asthma,
including asthma attacks, exercise-induced bronchoconstriction, and chronic obstructive pulmonary
disease

Hydrocortisone

is the name for the hormone cortisol when supplied as a medication. Uses include conditions such as
adrenocortical insufficiency, adrenogenital syndrome, high blood calcium, thyroiditis, rheumatoid
arthritis, dermatitis, asthma, and COPD. It is the treatment of choice for adrenocortical insufficiency. It

eye drops. Effects begin within an hour and last for up to eight hours.

Mannitol

 (Osmitrol) is an injection medication used for diuresis for treatment and prevention of decreased urine
production in acute kidney failure. Mannitol is also used to decrease intracranial pressure and brain
mass with patients with swelling in the brain.

is a medication used to treat high blood pressure and angina. It belongs to the dihydropyridine class of
