A. Preliminary Activities

Reading of Project Agendum

2. Review

Teacher asks pupils to recall the expression used to ask for


permission. Pupils share what they know about it. Teacher asks
questions to facilitate discussion.

B. Developmental Activities

1. Presentation

1. Present a story entitled “A Personal Profile”.


2. Ask questions about the story.
3. Help the pupils in reading the two sentences.
4. Explain to the pupils what the two sentences mean.
5. Explain what cause and effects mean.
6. Have the pupils realize the importance of knowing the cause and
effect of events.
7. Provide more examples and let the pupils answer.

2. Performing Activities

Group the pupils and give them pictures. Have them identify which is
the cause and effect.

Have each group show their work at explain their work.

4. Reinforcing the Concept and Skills

Call on pupils to analyze sentences and have them identify the


cause and effect.
5. Summarizing the Lesson

The cause is the reason why something happened. It is often


stated with the word because. The effect, meanwhile, is what happened
next. It is the corresponding result of the cause.
