Letter of Motivation

We are the citizen of Bangladesh and I do believe there has been a strong diplomatic relationship
between my home country and Switzerland after the independence. As far I know Switzerland is
one of the most famous countries, developed in cosmopolitan culture, science and technology
and moreover career based on Swiss Embassy would be bright. Over and above if I get an
opportunity to start career in Swiss Embassy, I shall be able to achieve not only by professional
experience but also cultural view.
My career objective is to disseminate my theoretical as well as practical knowledge & experience
in the relevant sector of economics among the common people according to my qualification and
ability as well as to build up a promising and brilliant career as an economist and for that seeking
a position in any reputed institution where my talents, attitude and aptitude will be evaluated and
where I will be able to perform my responsibilities smoothly in a perfect environment. In
addition, I deserve keen interest to do work that would be helpful to apply my knowledge of
Economics in the practical field. So for the preparation of the future think I do believe Senior
Programme Officer, Economic Development at the Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh would be my
best choice.
I, Taposh Kumar Roy, have already completed my under-graduation and post-graduation at the
Department of Economics from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. I have obtained CGPA
3.43 in a scale of 4.00 in under-graduation and in post-graduation it is CGPA 3.60 out of 4. The
medium of language instruction was English in my under-graduation & post-graduation level and
I have achieved International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall score 6.5.
My decision comes from various reasons, among them some are worth to mention. Firstly, this
job is extremely suitable with my ability, my interest as well as my Bachelor and Master’s
Program in Bangladesh. Though I am currently doing a job in a state-owned commercial bank in
Bangladesh, I have been searching for a job which is my graduation and post –graduation subject
based after completing my university education. After five years studied at the university, I have
acquired a solid and diversified foundation of knowledge in economic development initiatives.
The job I desire to get at the Swiss Embassy is very meaningful to me. It will offer me new
aspects of most updated problems, prospects and possibilities of economic development related
issues. I strongly believe that this career offer will bring me a great chance to come within reach
of them. Honestly, guiding people to have a better economic knowledge is my greatest ambition.
Finally, I strongly desire that if I will be offered to start a new career at the Swiss Embassy, by
the knowledge and experience gained, I will be able to be an experienced person for economic
development. By this, I will be able to fulfill my dream - directing people toward a healthy
economic life.
