    MOTIVATIONAL ACTIVITY 1: BIODATA GECC 108: Understanding the Self

    Let us imagine that the world suddenly went into chaos. There is an impending
    melting of planet Earth because of Global Warming. All people are asked to submit
    a BIO DATA to the World Screening Committee. The committee will only select 1,000
    citizens from each country to be sent to an Earth-like planet in the neighboring
    galaxy. As to what the criteria are for the selection process is unknown to anyone.

    Because of the urgency of the situation, we are only given 10 minutes to fill
    up the Bio Data Form. We are supposed to draw the self-portrait accurately and as
    quickly as possible. Further, in order to increase our chances to be selected, we have
    to fill in all the necessary data on the form.

    Please be honest with all of your answers.

    Why should we select you? Because I have a strong will to live.

    What could be your contribution to Positivity. I guess that's all we would ever need once the Earth starts melting,
    the new world. leaving everything else behind... and not knowing what would happen next. In
    order to have a fresh start, no matter how hard it takes, positivity is what
    we'll ever need. Survival will not be the hardest part, it's keeping all your
    hopes alive.

    PROCESSING QUESTIONS:
    1. What is the easiest information to answer? Why?
    I found personal information the easiest since it's the most basic part of the activity, its the type of information
    we all learned since we were kids.

    2. What is the most difficult to answer? Why?


    It's the part where I was asked "why I should be selected and what I had to offer", because even I don't know
    what I really have to offer and if I was worth it. If this situation happens for real, it would be a lot more difficult
    to answer since all we could ever think about is to live and not be left behind.

    3. How do you feel while doing the activity?


    The first questions were okay, didn't make anything at all but I started to feel quite hesitant when I reached the
    last two questions.

    4. What have you discovered about yourself in this activity?


    It made me realize that I still have a lot of room for improvement and I still need to develop my self esteem and
    self trust. It's motivational.
