IYRC 2020 Rule Book
General Rules
1. The competition was held online and broadcast on the Racer Robotic Official youtube
channel.
2. The copyright of the works remains the property of the participants, while the organizer
has the right to duplicate, publish and distribute the selected videos.
3. If the participant is less than 10 teams then the committee has the right to changethe level
of the category to open level or eliminate the category uniliterally.
4. Participants who take part in IYRC 2020 are deemed to have agreed to all the decisions and
regulations that have been established without exception.
5. Participants are required to prepare equipment and or applications needed to support
activities during the IYRC 2020 activities.
6. Participants who violate the rules and commit fraud will be sanctioned or even disqualified
7. The decision of the jury is final and cannot be contested.

Mission Make animation for expressing the given theme
Game Method Mission completion and Time record

1.0. Objective
Participants make animation works, presentations, stories, videos or music on the
computer, then work to make them able to interact, act or respond to the physical world
outside the computer using various sensors, so that the work becomes alive and able to
interact between the computer and the physical environment.

2.0. Theme grid


All Levels : Sport, Animal and Vehicle

3.0. Animation creation limitations


1. Participants can use the MRT Scratch software (download on following link :
https://s.id/MRTScratch)
2. Participants can use various materials needed to make work, as long as the material
is not dangerous.
3. There is no limit to the size of entries made during the competition that can be
brought into the arena.
4. Participants must submit a work plan to be made and details of the story, the tools
used.
5. If necessary, participants can create their own stage, with their own background.
6. THEMES are given at 08.30 WIB and must be collected at 12.00 WIB (Participants are
given up to 12.10 WIB, if it exceeds at that time the participant cannot upload files to
Google Classroom)
7. Design files (.sb2 format) and presentation videos (.mp4 format) are saved in Full
Name Format and School (example: Andriana Bayhaqi_MIN3 Tangsel)
8. Participants collect the design & presentation by writing (name and school) in Private
comments on Google Classroom
9. Using MRT hardware and components will be an added value.

4.0. Competition Task


1. Participants are given 3 hours duration to make an animation on MRT Scratch
2. Participants make an animation according to the THEMES that have been given
3. Participants present their OWN animation / works
4. Participants has presentation time of 3 minutes to introduce the result to the referee
live on zoom app
5. Participants stand by in the zoom room at 13:00 WIB for assessment with the jury
6. Participants present the results that have been made for (maximum 2 minutes) and
upload collect in private comments on Google Classroom

5.0. Deciding the Winner
Determination of the winner will be judged from several points which will be later
accumulate to Total Points. Following are the points of assessment:
1. Logic to solve the problem (10 Points)
2. Relation to the theme (20 Points)
3. Content (10 Points)
4. Prototype design (10 Points)
5. Interactive (10 Points)
6. Program (10 Points)
7. Property and background (10 Points)
8. Creativity and uniqueness (10 Points)
9. Presentation skill (10 Points)

Participants design or make shapes according to the specified theme using the DRAW
BRICKS application on Android Device..

3.0. Game Rules


1. Participants are PROHIBITED to use designs that have been provided by DRAW
BRICKS
2. Participants will be declared DISQUALIFICATION if using that design found in the
DRAW BRICK Library
3. THEMES are given at 08.30 WIB and must be collected at 12.00 WIB (Participants
are given up to 12.10 WIB, if it exceeds at that time the participant cannot upload
files to Google Classroom)
4. Design file (.brk format) and presentation videos (.mp4 format) are saved in Full
Name Format and School (example: Andriana Bayhaqi_MIN3 Tangsel)
5. Participants collect the design & presentation by writing (name and school) in
Private comments on Google Classroom
6. Participants who have not submitted the design results after the specified time
considered DISQUALIFICATION
7. The jury's decision is absolute, inviolable.

4.0. Competition Task


1. Participants design DRAW BRICKS
2. Participants design DRAW BRICKS according to the THEMES that have been given
3. Participants present their OWN designs / works
4. Participants present the results that have been made for (maximum 2 minutes) and
upload collect in private comments on Google Classroom
5. Participants stand by in the zoom room at 13:00 WIB for assessment with the jury
6. Participant has presentation time of 3 minutes to introduce their robots to the
referee live on zoom app.

5.0. Deciding the Winner

Robot - MRT Robot kit
Mission Create a robot expressing the given theme
Game Method Online Presentation and evaluation by panel

1.0. Objective
Provide a platform for student to showcase their creativity, innovative and
programming skills. They are required to work together as a team to design a robot based
on the given theme. Besides, they will also need to present and demonstrate their robot
creation well to convince and impress the judges.

2.0. Robot Dimension and Weight


1. The size and weight of the robot is not limited.

3.0. Restriction on Robot Design


1. For Creative MRT Robot kit category: Only MRT series of products are to be used to
build the robot. There is no limitation to the amount of blocks used to build the robot.
You are allowed to cross use the parts from the above mentioned systems for the
robots.
2. Robots shall not damage any part of the field or obstacles deliberately
3. There is no size and weight limitation for the robot.
4. Robots can use and add other materials such as paper, rings, clips, chopsticks, paper
cups, and 3D Printing materials etc.
5. VAC (Volt of Alternating Current) power supplies are strictly prohibited for safety
reasons.
6. Robots shall not cause any danger to the arena and surroundings in anyway
whatsoever.
7. Robots will need to protect their sensors if necessary from any outside interferences.

4.0. Game Rules


4.1. Method of a Match
1. Participants must make robots that will be included for the competition before
September 18, 2020 then upload the video (Max duration : 5 minutes) to google
classroom
2. Each group has presentation time of 3 minutes to introduce their robots to the
referee live on zoom app.

4.2. Competition
1. During the preparation time of robot, judges can interview the participants
randomly. Participant should answer the question sincerely as this is part of the
evaluation.
2. The question is related to the construction of the robot.
3. There are 2 round of assessment.

a. Round 1: participants should presenting their robot. After that, judges will
challenge participants to modify their mechanical (hardware) part or code
programming (software) depend on judges request. Each team will be
given 10 minutes to prepare their modified robot on ROUND 2.
b. Round 2: Participant should showing their modified robot.

4.3. Theme: UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)


The 6 themes are selected among 17 SDGs proposed by the United Nations and
the addition of 1 general theme. The robot can be based on one of the following field
ONLY:
a. Zero Hunger.
b. Good Health and Well Being.
c. Clean Water and Sanitation.
d. Affordable and Clean Energy.
e. Sustainable Cities and Communities.
f. National Defense.

4.4. Robot Manual


1. Participants should submit the robot manual (in A4 size booklet) and the related
material such as poster, photos to the organizer before the presentation.
2. The operation of the robot should according to manual.
3. The program coding of robots should provide to IYRC committee in advance.
4. The manual should consist of:
a. Robot Name.
b. Purpose.
c. Team member introduction and task allocation.
d. Introduction of the project.
e. Specification and feature.
f. How to program (if needed).
g. Functionality of robot.

4.5. Deciding the Winner


1. All winner’s robot design copyright (3D design file, programming source code, etc)
are belong to the organizer.
2. Participants must have one robot manual and their robot must be able to function.
3. Score shall consist of :
a. Relevance to theme
b. Creativity and Uniqueness
c. Robot Functionality
d. Team work
e. Presentation skill

4.6. Disqualificaton
A team shall be disqualified if it commits any of the following during the match :
1. Use the electronics part that are not authorized for creative MRT categories.
2. Touching or damaging other participants’ robot, laptops, or belongings.
3. Not obeying the instruction given by judges.
