Instructions for Windows
As taught in recitation, your files will be stored in a folder on your
computer as shown below.
Note how my folder
“Examples” contains the
following files:
alf.jpg, example.html, scripts.js
style.css
This is just an example. Your
folder should contain your html
and your image file.

1) Highlight (select) all the files you want to include in your submission.
This can be easily accomplish by “click and dragging your mouse”, or
single left-clicking on each file while holding the CTRL key on your
keyboard

2) Right -click on the group you just selected, then hovering over Send to > and
finally click on Compressed (zipped) folder.

• This will result in a new single “.z​ip”​file, which contains all the files you want to
submit.

3) The file you just created can be renamed, by simply right clicking on
it, and selecting Rename​. This file should then be uploaded to Sakai.

Instructions for Apple
As taught in recitation, your files will be stored in a folder on your
computer as shown below.

“Downloads” contains the
following files:
alf.jpg, example.html,

This is just an example. Your

1) Select all the files you would like to include in your z​ip​archive.
This can be easily achieved by click-and-drag to highlight all the files, or
simply single left-click on each file while holding the CMD (command) key
down.
2) Right click on any of the selected files, then click on “​Compress k
Items” (​k will be replaced by the number of files you selected)

3) A default Archive.zip file will be created.
The file you just created can be renamed, by simply right clicking on it,
and selecting Rename​. This file should then be uploaded to Sakai.
