ABSTRACT

In this modern age, renewable energy has been a hot topic to promote

sustainability through various innovations. A lot of research focuses on

identifying such sources that can also be exploited with relatively simple and

efficient systems. One of the best way to conserve energy is to create a

device in which the supposed to be unexploited energy like the energy

consumed by people from exercising or working out, is converted to

something useful.

The Air Climber Generator is a project study that focuses on how to

gather electrical energy from simulating steps or jogging in place using the air

climber generator. Proper integration of gears interconnected to

generator, charge controller, battery and inverter on the air climber has able

to generate electricity that powered an LED, Laptop, and Electric fan. A

flywheel was also added to the set of gears to stabilize the speed applied to

the generator.

Tests of voltage and current output were conducted and results shown

that with an average of 93 strides per minute, output voltage and

current produced are 26.97 volts and 3.35 amperes.
