Activity: Let’s role play!

Pretend you are a doctor. Read the medical cases and give them a piece of advice to solve their
problem.

1. I feel miserable! I have a sore throat and I have lost my appetite.


2. She’s got a headache ever since she started finals.
3. They went to the beach yesterday and today they woke up with a terrible sunburn, what
should they do to hasten the healing process?
4. He has a toothache.
5. My eyes are watery and itchy! I sneeze all day and I have a runny nose.
6. I work from home five days a week and it’s great because I don’t have to commute, but I
get a backache every day.
7. I feel sick, I drank too much alcohol last night and now I’ve got a hangover. I think I’m
going to throw up.
8. My friend has a horrible pain in her chest and she’s having problems breathing.
9. We ate raw fish and now we have a stomachache. We also feel nauseous, I think we have
food poisoning.
10. My sister fell off the stairs and she broke her arm!
