Procedure

Note
To know the meaning of the effectivity code (or codes) shown in this data module, refer
to 39-A-00-00-00-00A-02AA-D.
1 Make sure that all circuit breakers on the AVCS OMNI BUS panel in the baggage
compartment are closed.

2 Make sure that the circuit breakers that follow on the auxiliary circuit-breaker panel are
closed:
- AVCS OMNI PWR (CB282)
- AVCS OMNI CTRL (CB484).

3 Connect the laptop computer to the AVCS control panel. Refer to data module 39-B-18-33-
00-00A-33AA-K.

4 Run the Maintenance Software.

5 The computer display must show the initial screen (Main Page) (Detail A of Figure 1 ).

6 Select the “Connection Settings” option (Detail B).

7 Make sure that the screen shows the “Connection Settings” window (Detail C).

8 Make sure that the “CAN Port” field show the USB port of the connected computer.

9 Put the Central controller software installation disk (18-33-00-04-006 ) in the computer.

10 Select “1M” in the “Baud Rate” filed (Detail C).

11 Select “SW-11076-1.a21” in the “A2L Path” field (Detail C).

12 Push the “SAVE” button (Detail C).

13 Push the “Connect” button on the “Link Status” window (Detail A).

14 Make sure that “Connected” is shown in the “Link Status” window in a green background
(Detail D).

15 Load the central controller software:


15.1 Select the “Upload” option on the Main Page, then select “Application” (Detail E).
15.2 In the “Upload File” window select (Detail F):
15.2.1 The SW-11076-1.hex file in the “Filename” field.
15.2.2 Select “CC” (Central Controller) in the “Devices to Program” field.
15.3 Push the “PROGRAM” button (Detail F).
15.4 After the software is fully loaded, push the “OK” button in the pop up window (Detail H).
15.5 Push the “System Version Check” button in the “User Action” window (Detail G).
15.6 Make sure that the central controller data that follows are shown on the screen:
- App Part No: SW-11076-1
- App CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Checksum): 0x204B0C73.

15.7 Remove the central-controller software-installation disk from the computer.

16 Load the CFG Command-lane software:


16.1 Put the CFG command lane software installation disk (18-33-00-04-015 ) in the computer.
16.2 Select the “Upload Option” on the Main Page, then select “Application” (Detail E).
16.3 In the “Filename” field of the “Upload File” select the SW-11079-1.hex file (Detail F).
16.4 Push the “PROGRAM” button (Detail F).
16.5 In the “Devices to program” field, select the Circular Force Generators (CFG) that are
installed in the helicopter (Detail F):
- CFG 0
- CFG 5.

16.6 Push the “PROGRAM” button.


16.7 After the software is fully loaded, the status is shown again in the Accelerometer RMS
Levels and Actuator Peak Levels (Detail A). Do the steps that follow:
16.7.1 Select the “Unload” option on the Main Page, then select “PDIF” (Detail E).
16.7.2 Select the SW-11078-1.hex file.
16.8 Do Step 16.4 thru Step 16.6 again.
16.9 Push the “System Version Check” button in the “User Action” window (Detail G).

16.10 Make sure that the data that follows are shown on the screen for each of the CFG installed:
- App Part No: SW-11079-1
- App CRC: 0xD23F85FA
- PDIF PN: SW-11078-1
- PDIF CRC: 0xDB7DEF6C.

16.11 Remove the CFG command-lane software installation disk from the computer.

17 Load the central controller PDIF (Parameter Data Item File) software:
17.1 Put the Controller configuration PDIF software installation disk (18-33-00-04-007 ) in the
computer.
17.2 Select the “Upload” option on the Main Page, then select PDIF (Detail E).
17.3 In the “Upload File” window select (Detail F):
17.3.1 The SW-11077-1.hex file in the “Filename” field.
17.3.2 Select “CC” (Central Controller) in the “Device to Program” field.
17.3.3 Push the “PROGRAM” button.
17.4 After the software is fully loaded, push the “System Version Check” button in the “User
Actions” window (Detail G).
17.5 Make sure that the central controller data that follows are shown on the screen:
- PDIF PN: SW-11077-1
- PDIF CRC: 0x8957D9D4
- PDIF VER: 01.01.0100.

17.6 Remove the CFG command-lane software-installation disk from the computer.

18 On the AVCS control panel (1, Figure 2 ) make sure that:


- The PWR ON light is on or the CFG PWR is on for the helicopters [11X]
- The STATUS indicator is blank.

19 Close the AVCS PANEL circuit breaker (CB283) on the auxiliary circuit-breaker panel.

20 On the AVCS control panel make sure that:


- The PWR ON light or the CFG PWR light (helicopters [11X]) goes off
- The STATUS indicator shows the FAIL legend.

21 Do the software load check:


21.1 On the “Main Page” of the computer display, push the “Disconnect” button on the “Link
Status” window (Detail D of Figure 1 ).
21.2 Make sure that “Disconnected” is shown in the “Link Status” window in a green background
(Detail A).
21.3 Set the ON/OFF switch on the AVCS control panel (1, Figure 2 ) to OFF.

21.4 Open the AVCS CTRL circuit breaker (CB484).


21.5 Set the ON/OFF switch on the AVCS control panel (1) to ON.
21.6 Close the AVCS CTRL circuit breakers (CB484).
21.7 Run the Maintenance Software.
21.8 Make sure that the computer display shows the initial screen (Main Page) (Detail A of Figure
1 ).
21.9 Push the “Connect” button on the “Link Status” window (Detail A).
21.10 Make sure that “Connected” is shown in the “Link Status” window in a green background
(Detail D).
21.11 Push the “System Version Check” button in the “User Action” window (Detail G).
21.12 Make sure that the central controller data shown on the screen is the same of the data
shown in Step 15.6 .
21.13 Push the “System Version Check” button.
21.14 Make sure that the central controller data shown on the screen is the same of the data
shown in Step 17.5 .
21.15 Push the “System Version Check” button.
21.16 Make sure that the data shown on the screen for each of the CFG installed is the same of
the data shown in Step 16.10 .
21.17 Do Step 21.1 and Step 21.2 again.

22 Disconnect the laptop computer from the AVCS control panel. Refer to data module 39-B-18
-33-00-00A-33AA-K.

Requirements After Job Completion

1 Remove all the tools and the other items from the work area. Make sure that the work area
is clean.

2 Disconnect the external electrical power from the helicopter. Refer to 39-A-12-41-00-00A-
510A-A

3 Do the system identification check. Refer to 39-B-18-33-00-00A-32EA-K
